that US jobs and data wasn't that bad,i often find that the candle burns out after 4h completed if its had a couple of hours,so will probably close remainder of short at 4pm,maybe go long,not sure yet.

morning all Cleethorpes without north sea wind,unheard of for months,lots of data from US later,short on spx close stop of course.still got a few pence per pip running on apple which has covered my stupidity with LLOY,posted yesterday id explain daughters wedding fund in lloy,well couple of years ago bought a few k at 62,the broker I was using at the time x-0 only did a limit stop or limit take profit then,it almost touched my profit target 69 ish then went into freefall no stop,kept thinking soon turn round,when it was 20 odd pence I wrote it off and I told daughters that when they marry it would go towards there wedding funds and of course they are very interested now.

bought the dip again on my favourite the dow,now that's a thing that likes the 4h,its incredible how often theres a change of the guard then,i do short it a bit but the yanks are obviously still optimistic and buying the dips.

just noticed it does like its fibs a bit,and pivots afterall.

been watching gold all day on 10m and 60m candles rather than my usual 4h,f430 still don't get how you do it but I havnt given up yet just doing really small positions and am a tiny bit up today so far but not in again just yet,said I was going to stick to my strategy of not holding when earnings due but I have so may regret tomorrow if lloy have a good one but then my daughters wedding fund is in there so whatever.

morning guya week off so going to catch up trading,golf and trading studies,this week im going to be researching gaps or rather the support, resistance created by them.i keep looking at my gold chart but i am managing to hold discipline and leave it alone for f430 to do his juggling,first comp on sat,played ok but rusty chipping and putting so lots of that practice this week.lots of news out there indices after positive start look like they may not be so sure,short lloy at the mo but not going to hold overnight with the results out tommorow,well maybe a bit.

Great trading the Dow isn't it? Better than that nasty gold.just had 18, bit rusty after the winter but its still there.

we didnt mind and was happy when f430 posts his good gold days of a squillion pips or so,after earlier short(messed up) and now long with 50% profit banked am 65 pips up dow,lol think i may change to f430 platform then it would be 650 pips,for newer posters the others no i wouldnt post it if it wasnt true.

blowster,dont even try to see what f430 does with gold ,i gave up after a while,that stuff just doesnt suit my psyce,ive been busy with the dow since 12,ive chart watched it for hours,seeing what it responds to and realised i do better with that than all the others so sticking solely with that and the odd good looking share trade.

re gold,even though there looked to be strongish resistance it did not suprise me in the least,ive just seen it so many times before hence close stop and small position,just seems to be so many things in play with it,with my fav the dow in that position there would have been more of a chance of it holding and retracing for a short term trade on the 4h,must be different types of traders for different vehicles.

thats why i dont like gold.

blow,i gave up a while ago trying to pre emp a head a shoulders,pring in his book dedicates some time to this,basicaly says dont enter at the second shoulder because the pattern often dissapears,ive found this too.

if it gets there that is,with this stuff i never know.
