Didn't think this topic I introduced this morning would get so much comment. The queuing had nothing to do with the dole queue in which I stood in the early 1980's, but rather the level of interest in the area to work for an expanding major workforce. It was very positive to see people of all ages at an event bringing together the Redcar and Cleveland council employment initiative and Sirius. There has not been such a project in North Yorkshire since the start of Boulby Mine over 40 years ago. Guys, the politics are your own, but the attempts at slogans were IMO a bit rubbish! I'm sure that Scotgold will want to maximize the proportion of authenticated Scottish gold, but remember that there are physical constraints due to the proportion of gold separated as gold, gold in galena and gold in pyrite as against the economic processing options available. Once the mine is underway, then revision and improvement of these options may be possible such as indicated by Eck71. This topic has been covered by previous information from the company and posts on here. Took two teenage grandsons along to one at Sinningrove yesterday evening. Scotgold has people who are personally and financially committed, an approved mine, further demonstrated prospectivity nearby and money in the bank. My, what a busy weekend some of you have had. As befits an old chuffer, I spent Sunday at our model railway club's Open Day where we managed more visitors than weekend posts on here. As for gold for tourists, once it starts coming out of the ground, I can agree with canobie as a tourist that has already bought Scottish gold. I'm sure that many will follow, perhaps world-wide.
