Evening Yayay.
Thank you for your update. The fine weather has come also to the NE today, prompting my better half and self to venture to Whitby to partake of it's famous fish and chips. There is no canal, but there is a splendid harbour and a few miles away, a new polyhalite mine is being built. Hopefully Tyndrum will soon have a golden one.

Evening RM.
No inclination for politics as I suggested in my Friday post then? Just as well to avoid agendas and skulduggery (sounds painful!).
This week the government has over-ruled it's own inspector and planning inquiry to refuse open-cast mining of coal in Northumberland. That should protect their MP's majority and who would want dirty coal-mining to restart there? Meanwhile, the Teesside Mayor has announced (full front page of local paper) that the announcement is imminent (but he can't tell us anything about it?!). of a 5bn energy plant that will replace the derelict steel-works site beside the river and a deep-water quay that was formally used to import...............coal! It might be 5000 wind-turbines instead, or a waste to -energy plant so it can become the dustbin of the UK or even Europe. No, got to be clean energy for Mr Gove............a nuclear power station??? We await with intrepidation!
Disregard my Friday post...............stay out of politics!
Regards, R.
