Hi TLC.
That's twice in the last two weeks you've asked that question in a reply to me. I've seen loads of published data since 2013. Single rock-chip, boulder, stream or soil samples don't make a mine, but concentrated clusters might. Channel or core samples and strike length indications would make a target. Scotgold will have much more detailed data than is published and it's the quality of the data that no doubt the new geologists will be looking at for a target. So it's these young guns you need to ask rather than a retired, armchair geo! Then there's consideration of further items of interest from Dr Hill's researches, such as the area north to Bridge of Orchy above much deeper rooted, but shallower granite where ores may be predominantly magmatic in origin (eg. Auch Estate) and pyrite associated rather than in part orogenic and galena associated as in the Tyndrum Area. Even the orogenic source, sedimentary beds in the Easdale Series might be worthy of attention.
Wish I were younger.............such fun to be had.............ouch! Damned arthritis! 'Florence' says it's time to get off this magic roundabout and off to bed.
Regards, R.
