Samson's post just about says it all for you. Many years of angst, agendas and intrigue on this board and the 'other place' have left a bitter tastes in the long memories of some LT posters here. Scotgold has faced great difficulties and eventually overcome them, though not without exasperating delays and failures on the way. Mining ventures are (in my experience) prone to two steps forward and one back, though SGZ could be said to take the biscuit on that! That said and for the record (as a retired geologist), my DYOR and visiting Cononish twice, gives me the view that the mine and Grampian Project are projects of great potential and deserve to succeed. NLR must have some belief as he has put up cash in buckets!
Like you, I too am 'under water,' having sold last Autumn and then having bought back too early and averaged down since. Deja vu for me, having bought in and sold out three times over years, but not always got my timing right, yet taken profits on the highs. So I can't complain and hopefully I can outlive my patience! Success has never been nearer, but still tantalizingly not quite in reach.

Baz, PR100/Shylock/aka(?) was never right, he just insisted that he was and you were happy to swallow it to satisfy the contrary side of your ego. If you state something often enough for long enough, then eventually it is likely to come true for quite other reasons. How often did he dismiss evidenced or authoritative views of some posters, preferring to believe his own researches to justify his agenda? RG and CS are at an age that their departure soon was inevitable, though likely hastened by recent events. They gave it their best shot (though not always ideal) and deserve credit for having got a difficult project thus far. Crediting the troll of that other place is not to your credit!!!

I wonder how our Chancellor felt when on a local news bulletin the other week, a pub near his seat got financial covid help, but a micro-brewery did not. Concentration of wealth into fewer hands preferred over generation of wealth? Shall we all end up in a service dependent country where we exist by taking in each other's washing? At least the North York Moors Railway is getting a handout!

Announced today, nearly £15m in grants in my region to help cultural, heritage and tourist attractions to reopen or continue. By contrast, a local engineering company, plus Hartlepool Pipe Mill and Scotgold were all turned down for loans. Not so much less deserving, but perhaps not so vote-catching?
Never mind, Bozo visited B & Q in Middlesbrough yesterday to highlight the announced rises in minimum pay and working benefits. I wonder if B & Q workers gave him a cheer? He did then go on to Hartlepool (avoiding the pipe mill) to a vaccine factory. So that will make a second famous monkey there after the FC former mascot!

If anyone was hoping to see an end to such inane posts,........hard luck! I have today survived my second covid jab.

Some years ago I invested in Wolf Minerals (WLF) who went broke being unable to process their tungsten ore successfully. LSE said at the time that 'Investors in WLF also bought shares in...........SXX,...............SGZ.' Surely one of these must come up trumps?

Baz has discovered belief. The truth is what you believe and so all will be well, but as Samson surmises, the facts are illusive. At least RG and NLR have got all the bad new out of the way, come up with cash to progress and the new CEO has a clean sheet start, but with the expectation of catching up the targets of the previous RNS.

Bellers, I agree. The Scotgold documentary series best bit of reality in ages, short of a mine visit. Fingers crossed we might get the opportunity of that later in the summer. I get my 2nd Covid jab on Friday. Hopefully those hard-working guys at Cononish will come up with news soon.

Isn't that what many here have been doing with SGZ shares for 10 years or more? LoL!
The only exceptions being those of us who have bought from Sheila Fleet or Hamilton & Inches.
