Afternoon all, hope you all had a good holiday weekend.
I was nervous of this mornings RNS, but it's a change to read largely good news. Sounds like whilst capability has been demonstrated, consistency and reliability (as mentioned by PD in his last interview) are the key items still to be addressed. Capability appears to have been limited in mining by a lack of mining faces and reliable equipment and it is mentioned that this is being addressed. Once the first stope is in production, then the consistency of processing will be tested and we will then know how soon phase 1 production might be achieved an Director' Loan repaid on time. At least PD's first forecast of concentrate delivery was met, so the wheels are not dropping off the wagon and perhaps even the bog door has been fixed! No mention of staffing issues, so if PD delivers it could be:

Two and a half blue days and the bid is up. Maybe getting short of shares?
Eck, your estimate is as good as any. If it gets us cash positive and the Directors' Loan gets repaid, that will be an achievement for SG and a vindication of the new CEO's stated intentions.

Thought it's time for a new thread and Baz and I stopped reminiscing! After all, it's Monday and a BLUE day.........all 3 trades! As Samson was wondering about what grades we might be mining when SG at last get stuck in, I came upon a block grade section (ES2) in the ASX RNS of 30/04/2013 (that I'd saved, but sorry, can't find any link for ASX RNSs 2010 to 2014?). Not far in there a block AD11 that is rated at ~15g/t Au. A stope in that would be good! We just have to get there!

Tried learning Fanakalo and Afrikaans, but I'm lousy (lazy? LoL!) at languages. Fortunately English was well understood there! Great job and employer (AAL,SA) there, but geo-mapping sometimes in raises and stopes up to 60deg angles a bit hairy! Found a 'missing' piece of reef between faults surveyed at 33,000 cm g/t Au (~300g/t). They walled it up until the Au price dropped! Came back early after wife's health failed and the kids had a near miss with a few bullets! The great family adventure had a few downsides!!! Like shares, you can't win them all!

Western Holdings in OFS. What hole did you have the misfortune to end up at?

Samson, ("......it's a question of how hard it is to get to the gold rich seams.") it's just a single, sub-vertical vein (though there are known extensions) that is planned to be mined. See the mining plan at:

Baz is right about selective resource management in South African mines (the mine I was at had over 300 working places!), but there are fewer options at Cononish and we don't know how far/where development has progressed. It is likely that the priority just now is to develop the nearest/most convenient stope to the entrance and just above the main adit in order to expand production rate soonest. Choice of stopes and grades may have to wait until development is further progressed. Hope that helps.

Baz, TB's last post was on thread "Silence is not golden." maybe he'll pop up again when it is? If you had traded SGZ well, you could have had a multi-bagger, or if like me a one-bagger when I got my timing right! LoL!

A splendid, sunny day near the N. Yorks coast, but that's all of the news!
No SG news, so no mark up of the ask, but the bid has just dropped, so maybe the MMs are getting short of shares?
FOTF, so many questions, but no answers likely, as amounts and prices of shipments likely commercially and security sensitive. Day to day operations don't require an RNS unless exceptional and PR and the market likely not high SG priorities. So I guess wait for an end of month report and go and enjoy the sunshine with crossed fingers while the PoG hits £1330.

Phil Day in his interview focused upon stability, consistency and predictability. Looks like the latter has slipped already as far as concentrate delivery goes, unless they are keeping it quiet. I wonder how the other two aims are getting on? With at least 80% of shares in 'sticky' hands, I'm sure Samson is right in that the market (like PR!) is not a high priority. I'm sure we will hear soon, so fingers crossed for good news!

Steelwatch1, Happy 50th wedding anniversary soon. I wonder how long Baz's missus will have to wait for her ring?
I doubt that day to day operations require an RNS, but as Samson, BP and Bellers say, one would think that first dispatch of first concentrate and/or Scottish gold to refiners would be announced, even if on Twitter (if someone can remember the password!) or PA Investor as a matter of good PR.
Such would brighten up a grey, misty, and drizzly day near the Yorkshire coast, but they may wish to wait until dispatches become deliveries for commercial/security reasons and the day is not yet over.
Yayay, Then again, Monday will come,.......sometime!

Or you wait until Monday (or later) to get the word, or on bonfire night, the £2m loan gets converted into shares (at a favourable price) for the BoD+1! Any advance on the above would be an improvement on meeting expectations for SG. Fingers crossed!

Samson, thank you for sharing your thoughts and misgivings with which we can all relate. We are were we are and the question is where are we going? With mine, plant and finance in place and given the right management, the answer should be plan A:
