RE: Buyout?4 Jun 2018 20:55
No chance of a buyout as Tim Steiner was against it plus Kroger now own nearly 6% of the company so would influence any decisions made. The only real candidate is Amazon so how would that go down with Kroger and the other grocers who have recently jumped aboard precisely because of an emerging Amazon into grocery, they want to get one step ahead of the game not watch Amazon buyout Ocado and run their operations for them, poacher turned gamekeeper?
If an approach was made today I would guesstimate a doubling of the SP, some shorts still hanging on like a bad smell, bulk of the shares are tightly controlled by a small number of large investors, there's unlimited expansion possibilities globally I believe, automated supermarkets replacing your traditional shops.
I look round now and you can see the OSP will be dominant in years to come because there really is nothing else in comparison at this time. I'm talking end to end, last mile solution, supplier to cupboard, freezer, beer fridge!
I did post elsewhere today that we will all be printing our food in future on 3D printers, something that is already happening, maybe we should invest in 3D printers today? (I think I saw something similar on Star Trek once) !
