Supply and demand, you'll notice that none of the major shareholders have sold and more investors are piling in on the increase, there are still millions of shares out on loan yet waiting to be bought back at market price. How big a loss are these funds going to take before they raise a white flag, the SP will increase further as they have no choice but to cover their position. I saw this after the Morrisons deal when the SP spiked at 6.40, the momentum cleared out most of the shorts at huge losses but not all, they rallied but as there was no further news on contracts the SP sank to a low of 2.18 as the momentum was gone, it eventually recovered again and was a good time to get in! When Andover was built we were seeing the showroom for other grocers to marvel at, Amazon bought Whole Foods and the grocery world sat up and took notice. Ocado have a solution to their Amazon woes hence the string of deals pushing the SP up and squeezing the bears. This virtuous cycle can continue whilst the shorts are betting against Ocado and the company continues to gain new contracts and expand. Fundamentals as I used to tell my old adversary Hool don't come into it, we all know this is overvalued but its the shorts that are driving the price up in the belief that it can't go on for ever.
