I bought some custard creams in my local LIDL last week for 18p (how do they make a profit)?, The MRW equivalent even on offer is virtually double the price, pro rata 35p, just a snap shot against one product but that's what you're up against, no one noticed the difference in taste either! The new LIDL concept store looks state of the art whereas my local Morrisons looks ordinary and stuck in time, ALDI haven't even arrived in town yet but they plan to later this year. Now Morrisons have let Amazon enter the market as not only a customer but a competitor I believe they're going to struggle. The UK grocery market is already saturated and here's yet another player in town.

(BSE AU/LN) has been asked to make a response to the ASX regarding a sharp move in its share price. The good news is that this price movement has been upwards. In fact, its price has more than doubled over the last few days. The main driver of this move has been positive sentiment towards the general market for mineral sands. This has been seen in recent announcements from Base’s peer group; sector bellwether Iluka is up some 11% over the last two days of trading. This all mirrors our own understanding that pricing sentiment has improved of late, a fact picked up by our clients who have been making more calls about Base and the mineral sands market than they have for a while. Also, there was a mineral sands conference in China this week that clearly went well. Obviously, after a share price has been in the doldrums, moves can be more pronounced on improved volume. This has been particularly so in Base’s case, where the financial gearing effect created by its debt magnifies changes in the value of the underlying assets in the share price. It’s interesting that the UK listing is currently trading at 4.375p, which equates to A$0.088. The shares closed in Australia at A$0.12, so if you can pick up stock in London, you should.

Analysts are still waiting for online supermarket Ocado (OCDO) to provide details of its first international deal as they predict challenging interims. Jefferies analyst James Grzinic retained his ‘hold’ recommendation and target price of 265p on the shares, which fell 2.2% to 257.8p yesterday. ‘Ocado’s interims should confirm a near-term negative forecast bias, given a challenged UK gross margin backdrop and investment in innovation,’ he said. ‘We continue to await details of a first overseas deal so to calibrate our fair value assumptions more accurately.’ Grzinic added that he was ‘already pricing in some international value as we currently estimate Ocado.com UK stand-alone to be worth 180p’ and the international option value of 85p ‘assumes that Ocado International partner sales build to £700 million by 2023/24’.

No need to be sorry I'm sure it's not your fault As you appear to be relatively new here you may or may not see the bigger picture. This is a highly shorted share and if the management start delivering on some of their promises we're going to see a large increase in the SP. To get that ball rolling Andover needs opening and they're behind schedule as we all know. Until this is open I don't believe anyone's signing on the dotted line despite what's already occurred in the US. The gamblers amongst us will now be buying shares at the lowest price possible in preparation for a bear squeeze, it's a huge risk but you takes your chances. I've already trodden this road and made a lot of money and we're now poised to see a repeat of the cycle. Either we see a slow deterioration of the SP as the major backers pull out for reasons as you've stated or there will be short squeeze once again. If Ocado don't deliver on the tech I'm out which is what I've posted for the last 3 years at least, man can't live on bread alone. I can see possibly Ocado.com getting sold off at some point in the future as Ocado go down the tech route but they need lots of grocers signing up for the OSP first and for that to occur Andover needs to be up and running and making a profit !
