I can see what you're saying but Ocado have already contracted Mace to source suitable sites in the US so not sure why Publix would partner Instacart in this instance if only for a trial period? Publix first got mentioned in the Times as a possible partner so a credible lead but in error I now believe. Duncan Tatton-Brown topping up recently would probably mean there's no deal imminent so I'm now assuming that we won't see anything announced until later on in the year. You then have to interpret "medium term" as Tim sees it ?

From press reports they're now trialling online deliveries via Instacart in the Miami area which leads to me to believe that Ocado are talking to another US grocer

I think being conservative isn't a bad idea in the current climate but I've every faith in the team at MXCP. Their latest venture into Tax Computer Systems looks a great move in the long term especially with Gavin Lyons as the executive chairman. "We aim to accelerate the organic growth of the business whilst seeking opportunities to acquire companies with complementary products and services." Sound like they have big plans for what will be Tax Systems PLC

My wife likes to do a weekly shop still as many others do but she recently started having some frozen stuff delivered from Iceland (the store)! Whereas we would go to Morrisons and buy everything we now venture into LIDL first then onto Morrisons, she gets frozen food from Iceland once a month as I've said and we use the local CO-OP for convenience. If that pattern is multiplied the big four are going to continuously lose market share as ALDI & LIDL build new stores, the CO-OP has relaunched itself and increased its market share over the last 12 months and even little Ocado are showing double digit growth for online QTR on QTR and they have 2 new hubs to open yet, one to be shared with Morrisons hopefully at Erith. One slight consolation for Morrisons is that ALDI & LIDL will be hit as sterling is now a lot weaker and they import most non food items from Europe so they'll have to increase pricing to maintain margins

If the big four don't adapt soon to the changing enviroment there'll be no big four ! A large re-rating of share prices on the cards I'm afraid to say downwards, ASDA to push volume over profit in a new price war. The car park, which has been pre-let to Ocado, is the final phase of development at Springwell 27 which is already home to the online grocery retailer's 10,500 sq ft regional distribution depot. The creation of the car park will facilitate Ocado's expansion at the eight-acre business park, following its deal with Morrison's to distribute its online products, and will link directly to the existing building via an access ramp. Between 120 and 130 new jobs are expected to be generated by Ocado as a result.

I'll be honest, I'm not sure whether you're in the ball park or not as it's difficult to put a valuation on this, £120M sounds reasonable top end right now but I was hoping for a MCAP of circa £136M - £140M by the end of 2016
