Given the costs involved with progressing a formal bid I am now sure that nobody will be tabling any speculative low ball bids.
That was made very clear on the call.
The rumours are that the offers were around 200-230p and until Thursday I thought that would be a successful bid level?
Time will tell what materialises but I am considerably more optimistic than a few days ago.

I think you need to watch it?
I substantially increased my position after but that’s my view and everyone most take their own decision.

Until I watched Thursday’s conference all I would have agreed with you.
But they have now publicly made extremely clear what the price needs to be.
So anyone now considering any bid proposals will now fully understand the rules of the game.
I now believe the unbelievable is now likely if someone steps forward with a full bid.
That hasn’t happened yet as up to now all the approaches have been informal/speculative.

If someone is still interested they wouldn’t bother to progress things unless they are willing to got close to his number.
It’s extremely expensive to launch a bid - so far they have just been indicative offers.

Simply the hedgefunds took the LSE down so they could close their shorts elsewhere without disturbing anyone.
After that it rose.

Grow up and understand the markets you pretend to be an authority on.
