Patshare Kefi clears it debts but at the cost of increasing the number of shares in circulation which dilutes the value of shareholders shares.

It can be argued that the right to have one warrant that can be used at at 2.4 pence the 1.9 million taken in shares instead of salaries and Rab Capital taking a piece of the placement shows confidence.

Also can be argued Rab are just protecting their investment the 2.4 pence is a derisory level and those taking shares rather than wages will be coining it further down the track. If you were to be a bit cynical you could argue it is a replacement for a certain bonus scheme.

Saying it is to “tidy up its balance sheet going into year-end” is a bit of an insult to the intelligence of people whether you are positive about the company and its prospects or not.

Shows confidence that the consortium is considering the deeper part of the deposit as well as the open pit part a bit like you are not only considering buying the house but adding an extension.

Well Kefi has kept up the tradition of placings at the worst possible times guess this explains why no uptick in the share price.

Effectively had a big reduction in uncertainty for the consortium that is going to invest in TK over the last two weeks in Ethiopia and looking forward to a big upgrade to Hawiah this month. Would have said the way Kefi is a binary bet is it has two projects but now it has two new areas and likely Jibal Qutman in the future….

If kefi lost licence would still have three areas in Saudi maybe four next Year. Would expect Ethiopian government to invite mining companies to craft a consortium that included itself and participation of local government. In many ways it would be starting from scratch to create something that kefi already has.

Ethiopian could offer an extension though might depend on the company demonstrating some kind of progress. Going to be harder to blame security concerns for delays if the security is a lot better. Probably the regional government will have more of a say than normal because central government will want to keep the region as much on side as possible due to the political situation.
