Thanks SB the Saudi prospects do tend to get overlooked but things are changing on the mining front in Saudi as well for projects like hawiah.

All that is not a caste iron guarantee of funding costs not rising of course as you would expect costs to creep up with higher inflation but the higher gold price should offset that.

Obviously the foundation stone is being brought by the “first cab off the rank” :) joking apart think the disparity between the present shareprice and the hopefully near term potential is too wide imho.

Probably be more of a takeover target once it gets a project over the line and the market cap is higher as then it will be more on the radar of bigger miners. I would think the prospects in Saudi would be more attractive in some ways though Kefi is the Junior partner there. Longer term if kefi has some big exploration license areas that could attract joint ventures and interest from big mining companies.

Yes but the key question is when kefi has had a history of being hit by Murphys law and people being burnt while hanging on for the breakthrough. Another factor is Saudi and Ethiopia are new mining areas in a lot of ways so does take some research to keep an eye on things but between here and advfn that is doable.

In Ethiopia Kefi has to start hitting development targets as set out in the recent rns then people will be more optimistic over the launch of Tula Kapi.

In Saudi would massively help if kefi got back the Jibal Qutman licence as it low cost to develop and could fund future expenditure in Saudi. Kefi regained its present licence there and has been awarded some new areas so hopefully that will happen. Also has to have a plan to fund work there in the more immediate future.

Company has lost years in the past with various delays down to various causes leading to can kicking by the management hence a lot of scepticism over getting projects over the line hence the disparity. If however it looks definite that one of Kefis two (hopefully soon to be three) projects will get over the line it’s a whole new ballgame.

Like it a detailed plan and timeline what was needed.

It’s a very clever move by Akobo they keep the locals on side by supplying help to local mining industry while opening up investment into mining projects generally which is likely to help gain investment into their own projects.

For Kefi it shows there is appetite from locals to invest in mining projects and deals can get done.

Does look a lot more cheerful than normal wonder if he as heading over to Saudi maybe expecting some good news on Jibal Qutman.

Today we have great news from Kefi Gold & Coipper (KEFI). The Ministry of Mines in Ethiopia, not always the greatest battler for “the cause” has confirmed that Kefi has until July to secure funding for Tulu Kapi and get the project underway. I know that Harry Adams is dotting the “I”s and crossing the “t”s on the funding now and expect an announcement within the next couple of months, if not far sooner, that funding is secured. That will drive a big re-rate and I am a very happy holder for that reason. But what of the mystery of the $1 company?….

Did feel a bit good news bad news but the good news is we keep the licence the bad news is we are being given enough time to get TK of the ground.

While I can understand trying not to upset the mining minister by not making a big song and dance about presumably keeping the licence or undercutting any statement from him to the papers and there are certain advantages in keeping a lowish profile in Ethiopia it’s simply a false market at the moment till the company provides some certainly. Do not even have to Rns it can simply reply to one of the many questions I am sure they have received on the Q & A page.

Company could just put a reply on the q & a page along the lines of meetings went well and things are still on track which would settle some nerves. After all the meetings were urgent enough to cause the cancellation of the webinar and investor forum. Look after the shareholders and the shareprice will look after itself.
