The obvious difference being that Wressle actually flowed oil (and gas) to the surface under its own pressure when originally tested.
Wressle is a sandstone reservoir with much more predictable petrophysical characteristics, WN is a fractured Carbonate which
by the nature of its formation and later alteration will display variable reservoir characteristics across the area.

I think the issue with Victory (and WN ) is that the two amigos like to quote NPV10 numbers as if that’s the worth of the asset, rather than a a calculation of a series of unrisked discounted cash flows.
As I’m sure you know, NPV10 and sales value are miles apart when it comes to pre development assets (well established production is a bit of a different story).
By example: What would one of our rampers pay for the following deal ? £10000 per year for 5 years the only guarantee is that it might be £5000 or £15000 depending on the temperature at midday in Hyde Park on pay day.
The NPV10 of £10,000 pa for 5 years is £37,900.
So would you pay £37900 for that deal , if not what would you pay given the risk?

If it tested gas ( as per SW's comment of an addition perf) then its probably from the upper section on the A2 log (jan21 pres., pg 8) its about 10m thick but saturation's don't look too great. It'll be interesting to see what they say if it has flowed about and how much of this section was tested... they need to give detail about what was tested and ideally pressures.
Some detail if it did test would suggest its possibly viable, a lack of info and general statements about flowing gas would not be good.

My point was that the volumes technically discovered were orders of magnitude larger than WN.. however it’s unlikely to ever get developed because it requires fracking …

I would suggest that this is the largest onshore discovery since 1973 (certainly larger than WN …of course under your proviso that ability to develop or even flow doesn’t actually matter! 2019 Egdon/Igas/INEOS -

No, I think its the mainly the catastrophic share price performance in a time of increasing oil and gas prices., if the assets are so good why is the share price down when most other oilers are up...

I simply point out when people with a vested interest, tell tall stories and present them as facts..
I do it because I can, why do you tell tall stories, or always preface your comments with"in my opinion"... because that absolves you of having to post what the company actually said...
