Hi Num4 - So little is priced in its almost laughable (but great for us!). I was thinking about the manufacturing issues but unlike Aurora we already have a route established for 1801 and 1802 we are told will be resolved shortly. The only fly in the ointment will be the usual politics. On a slightly different tack I just nipped over to the 'Other Place' and was presented with a Pop Up headlining Sareum TYK2/Jak1 - 'Next Generation Therapies' with a specific mention of Covid. Seems like our visibility is hitting new heights!
Last year the UK came in for some considerable stick for our high Covid Deaths. However, the statistics are highly dubious - different countries, different definitions, testing regimes etc. This year Covid will still be a big killer globally but in the UK I'm anticipating more deaths from the Flu than Covid. We will be under the microscope for our therapeutics which the politicians already know. Boris' hints of further lockdowns and the concerns within the NHS/Pharma sector regarding what to put in the annual flu vaccine, boosters against emerging Covid variants and the interactions between the two not to mention the growing waiting lists all mean that this summer is not about overseas holidays but how we learn to live with the new normal. Patience, patients and patents just about sums it up!
Num4 - Great insight. Look at the global top 10 diseases and the top 10 causes of death and its not difficult to see why our TYK2 and 737 compounds are so valuable - Cancer, respiratory conditions etc. Then look at the conditions that won't kill you but hugely affect quality of life (RA, Lupus etc). Thoth may be correct in his view that the immune system has a lot to answer for but also a lot we (SAR) can help with. Putting a value on the potential is going to give me more sleepless nights than worrying about the small minded games being played by the MM's and their lackeys. As already stated this morning we are literally only a week or so away from the first bus arriving. All IMO.
….. was not Biotrinity. Sierra tweeting that recruitment for the Momo trial is now complete was the real news for me. The way is now clear for them to take 737 forwards. I’m anticipating big news on the next development which will hopefully be a 2 or 3 way combo. The buses are congregating and the only question is which one will arrive first. 737? Covid PoC? Or more money from a HNW to take us beyond preclinical with 1801 and 1802? I think someone today said that ‘news’ was already priced in….. Yes, well I stopped reading at that point because at 7p the only thing priced in is the value of the SKIL platform. By the middle of July I think we’ll have answers as to the order in which the buses arrived. We’ll also have very good indicators as to current and potential value. In the meantime I’ll continue to sit on my profits. After all, its my money. God, the insights of some of the Wombles are breath taking.
…..(as we are ‘advised’) to try the same trick tomorrow? Probably not because they will know SAR is being watched. I suspect they’ll move on to another victim. My gut tells me (I don’t play golf) that the HNWI is not on his/her own. Wouldn’t be at all surprised if others didn’t follow. The warrants tell their own story but God knows we’ve had enough hints as to what is round the corner from the people who really know. HNW’s invest, they don’t trade so I’m not remotely worried about them getting involved just for a quick buck. They simply don’t need ‘quick bucks’. As Thoth says, research done, locked and loaded, safety on, just waiting for the whistle. GLA
Like most LTHers I haven't sold a share. I'm going with my long term valuation. The MM's can play their short term games and the trolls can regail us with their amazing insights. The Tweet is confirmation that the game is yet to play out. GLA all genuine holders.
Sitting here thinking through how to rebuild my valuation model. Lots of factors now in play but most importantly we now have a solid SP platform from which to launch. As many have said, including me, Covid is a sideplay but could easily be the catalyst that propels both 1801 and 1802 forward. 18 months ago at the AGM Tim said that we only needed to be successful in one indication. However, like buses, it looks like 4 might all come along at the same time. In terms of timelines I think that after news on the Covid/1801 PoC in July we’ll get news on 737. Then it will be CTA for 1801 in RA/Lupus or similar. I doubt we’ll get to CTA for 1802 for the simple reason that if the Covid PoC is successful then a big pharma will intervene. I don’t for one moment think we aren’t being closely watched. 28p is looking cheap IMHO.
Ahfam - I'm now worried that we might be going about this the wrong way. As Thoth has pointed out Remdesivir isn't exactly succesful in treating Covid and Molnupirivir is the same. Perhaps we should ask Tim and John to de-tune 1801??
The US has just shelled out $1.2bn for a Merck drug that they intend to use as a Covid-19 antiviral. That's impressive, particularly as the clinical trials showed that it didn't prevent hospitalisation or improve recovery times! God knows what the value would be for a drug that actually works...... Public Health England (PHE) have an operation at Porton Down (Bioweapons and other nasty stuff). So far I haven't heard or seen anything from the military division of Porton about Covid. It has been suspiciously quiet. I suspect they know a lot more about Covid 19 than is being let on. However, no one develops a bioweapon without have some sort of 'cure' up their sleeve. Having said that, when the Americans exploded the first two atomic bombs the scientists couldn't guarantee that the reaction would stop at a certain point..... We live in dangerous times. Time to stock up for an extended bender??
Hi Potnak - I tried carb loading and the first time it worked spectacularly but now has no effect. I've tried various (legal) diets incuding Ketones and the only one that has any benefit is caffeine! However, I'm the wrong side of 60 and whilst I've lost speed, stamina isn't a problem. My personal interest in 1801 is with RA as joint issues have been a problem within the family. If SAR delivers then It could be a double whammy with the purchase of some hi-tech sports equipment and the long term option of joint therapeutics. Win, win!
Hi Thoth - Remdesivir an injection with side effects(liver). 1801 a pill - side effects not known, toxicity not an issue, storage and distribution not limited. Hmm, might need a bigger spreadsheet......
