Jiffy:
I know the GST model and that's not the point I was trying to make.
After so many years of quantitative easing, fiscal stimulus or more correctly just money printing dilution why is everyone in mainstream media so surprised we have inflation that's going to get even worse. Financial mainstream news is just FUD. FIAT is no safe haven but the herd trust it more than crypto and so we are living in a financially extremely unstable time.
Stable coins have already failed once ( UST and it's sister luna ) and now USDD is coming under pressure.
Crypto is the enemy of central banks and they are going to use their friends ( like the FCA ) to try and help them stay in control.
That vid I posted was an explanation of their collective governance ideas for the future of currency which of course would give them complete control.
I don't think that will happen but getting approval for the GST model may take longer.......that's all.
In the meantime many altcoins will go to zero and good riddance. The crypto space still has further to fall and shake out the trash.
The majority of people have no understanding of DE FI and think bitcoin is just some get rich quick gamble.
Equally they will lump in with that , Blockchain and any other crypto token system out of pure ignorance but will still accept that inflation has already eroded their pathetic FIAT money and will continue to do so.
Stand by for some heavy demand for pay increases and who can blame ordinary folk for not trying to get paid more just to stay where they were.......that's the evil trick of the FIAT system.
One day soon I think they will wake up and see things a little clearer but right now there is financial doom right on the doorstep, not just for the crypto markets but for stockmarkets and by default, pension funds. The word is Stagflation.
How long this will go on is just a guess so I won't make one.
Our already devalued FIAT will be worth 11% less in a year and that's just using official figures.
I'd say about 20% would be more realistic.
Central banks may well try and set up a new digital currency that will look attractive at first but will be the ultimate control mechanism.
Let's all hope it doesn't succeed.
