Today is certainly an AST day! I notice Ruukki is up 5% at 1.8 euros. Bearing in mind its 1.8 SLV shares per Ruukki share..............as the Yanks say.......you do the math!! (Or ask Mrs Big1Jim to do it for you if its a bit beyond your SME remit!!) Mrs T ;-))

Relax Group plc ("Relax Group" or the "Group") Trading update As previously announced, the Group has recently changed its senior management team and is conducting a strategic and financial review of the business and the wider management structure. The full results of this review will be announced shortly. However, the initial findings are that it is now expected that the results for the interim period ended 30 June 2009 will be significantly lower than for the five month period ended 31 December 2008. There has been a consequential impact on the Group's working capital position and banking facilities which are being monitored closely. Significant cost savings have been identified which the directors expect will have a positive impact in the 2010 financial year. The interim results will be released on or before 30 September 2009.

Currently not impressed with fall in SP on this one. However, today's drop is off the back of two small trades totalling 6k shares. Logic tells me that its another buying opportunity whilst the SP isn't at parity with Ruukki. Shame I'm skinters!! Mrs T ;-))

Re your of Thursday 20.32. I don't follow your logic...if you think the Ruukki deal undervalues SLV (which I think we all know it does, as does JLP and BRR etc etc...its the nature of the takeover beast to drive a hard bargain) and the takeover is off why would you want to sell? Surely that would be a good thing in yours and others eyes and make this ping back up over 80p. Regardless if the take over goes ahead as planned then just watch Ruukki's SP for reciprocal SLV value. Currently @ 89p. Surely its a WIN/WIN.....unless there is something I don't know??? Mrs T ;-))

Just for the record Ruukki closed today at 1.75 Euros, so that means for parity SLV should currently be 82.7p. We are over 10p short but the merger carries on apace. No brainer........you do the math...... so I can go to bed....LOL! Why am I researching shares at this time when my alarm is set for 5.30am to go and watch a balloon launch...????? Mrs T ;-))

This one has been swinging nicely between 19.75p and 27p, today's RNS only confirms the Board's continuing efforts to reinvigorate its management structure. Lots of new blood coming in. Covenant test delayed till end of Aug 31 - no change there. I shall be buying if I can catch sub 20p again. Mrs T ;-))

Financing As previously announced, White Young Green is in discussion with its lenders with a view to renegotiating its existing banking facilities. As part of this process, the lenders originally agreed to defer the covenant test date from the year end date initially to 31 July 2009. As anticipated in the announcement on 30 June 2009, the covenant test date has been deferred again to 31 August 2009 whilst discussions continue and the Board expects that a further deferral of the covenant test date is likely to be requested. A further announcement will be made in due course as appropriate.

I've reviewed the trades over this last week and the SP had dropped on very little trading. Today's fall is based on £6k worth of sells. Clearly that doesn't reflect off market trading or general sentiment though.

Agree with both of you. Ruukkit has taken the edge off the excitement of this share. Yes, long term it will be fine but at the moment its disappointing that the Ruukki sp is just stiffling SLV's good news. Mrs T ;-))

I'm not in CFM today as I've been out all day and missed the boat, but agree, as is normal with these things there will be lots of volatility and a chance to trade inbetween if you have your eye on the ball and some nerve. Re CFM and Ruukki, its a wild guess on my part and I would suggest you wait for others to put in their tuppeneth before we get carried away!!
