I haven’t posted for a while I hope you are all well? I read everybody’s comments regularly but have had no input to offer due to my failing portfolio! I clearly have a lot to learn as an investor as I am currently 40 per cent down in my portfolio. Tough times. On another note (I couldn’t resist) I have bought Caspian Sunrise. I just wondered whether anybody else is invested and what your thoughts are on this share.

Thank you for solid shares info. I currently hold Lloyds which I like as I recognise it’s patterns. I am only a bit concerned with Lloyds if Russia defaults on debt what the impact will be on banks. I have Rolls which I am less familiar with but I think I bought at a good price. I bought standard life as it got bumped up due to Evraz and polymetal being deleted. Despite being put off risky shares I did take a punt on supply@me and futuremedical..just couldn’t resist! Any thoughts welcome.

Any tips for solid ftse shares that you follow and are still low due at the moment. I think if peace talks continue we could see a lift. I don’t think after Synairgen I can do any more risky shares! I am feeling a bit beat up after that experience. Hope you are all well.

Thank you. I should have played smart. This morning I could have got 10p I knew that this share price equates to less than the money in the bank. If I traded the I could have made back my loss. I did a little trade at 19p which made me feel better! I think this is going to sit at 25p. What do you think?

Oh my what a morning. I did reduce my holding in Synairgen but I still hold a significant amount. I have rebought a small amount to make me feel better in my ISA account. What is everybody doing? Are you guys buying to bring down average or just accepting the loss and waiting for improvement hopefully with Active 2. Any advice much appreciated. Also I am thinking to buy Chéniere Energy today in light of current situation. Anybody else invested in natural gas? Feel better for offloading on all of you!

That sounds a great idea. I am not sure how much I have to offer in terms of advice but would like to join the closed group in conjunction with this board.

I happen to listen to the science and technology committee meeting in government yesterday. Kate Bingham as good as stated the government have been short sighted cancelling the Valneva contract as Valneva has a set up that allows for whole virus vaccine production which is needed for future mutations of Covid virus. I really hope the government sees sense and reinstates a contract. I have bought more Valneva as I have to hope investing is based on logic!

Thank you. I am just going to hang in there. The science remains the same. I still think the government is trying to reduce the impact of the science to come reference the vaccine effectiveness. A Covid booster will of course help but I am guessing a vaccine that is more specific to the mutations will ultimately still be better in the end. Let’s see. Xviolet I will look up those people you mentioned, thank you. Nolupus where have you seen the latest Valneva news I cannot find it in the Valneva site? Thank you both.

I have a day off. I intend to enjoy my day looking at shares! Is anybody buying at the moment or are we all sat on our hands waiting to see what the new variant brings.

Any ideas why Valneva is dropping? I can’t see any news. Is it just because it’s risen so much recently? Any thoughts? Thank you.

I agree. It could be that Valneva is the only vaccine which will work against the new strain. Europe will be fine and we will be desperate like they were when we had vaccine and they didn’t. I really want to get back into Valneva as I regret selling. I need to be patient.

I sold this morning. Wish I hadn’t. I couldn’t fully understand why it was rising now as no more news since EU news. I guess I am going to have to wait for a dip..unlikely looking at the momentum! Well done to you both staying in. Good luck.

I have just bought as many shares as I can in anything related to small modular reactors. Is anybody else invested in nuclear?
