I'm with youfaze1, my average is sitting on 1.1 and my aim is to get it under 1p. If this drops below 4 I'm grabbing a slice then taking that same amount back on the slightest rise. So I am happy for it to go either way at the moment :)

all correct except I am not sure that it spiking to 8p was the only reason Cad pulled out. I think I recall they were unhappy about certain things lurking below the surface. i.e. If spiking to 8p was the only issue then why didn't they make a move after it dropped again :)

I would love to be positive regarding the takeover letter, but, wouldn't the date being tomorrow conveniently keep people hopeful all day? Just my thoughts but I would love to be wrong :)

Steady as she goes LTH. If you have cash you aren't afraid to loose wait till you think its bottomed out and lower your average. If not let's sit tight and hope. You haven't lost till you sell or till the fat lady sings so hang in there :) gla

CEO of Ascent Resources plc, commented:

The above comments from Colin are clearly aimed at staving off any more appeals from environmentalists and its also clear from AST "reserving further comment". They know this is the end game and if they can get confirmation it will trigger the start of them on the road to fulfilling all future aspirations; there will clearly be far more to say and do from the BOD right after confirmation....its just the start for us lth gla :)

....a Russian queue waiting to get in here this morning as most will now know the implications of receiving the permit .....the other permits arrival will trigger at the least some interest in a takeover. The last time there was even just the rumour of a takeover the SP spiked on 8p before dropping down once said rumours denied. Then the appeal from the environmentalists went in and the granting of a permit to build the processing plant was stalled, hence the very low SP, till now!. With potentially more good news coming re:- other permits and a queue of wells waiting to be stimulated then this share is about to gain some sustained upward movement.... dyor & gla :)

A spike implies that it will go straight back down but this is different, I sense a turning point here!! :)

Those of us who remember the interest shown in the company before the permit was delayed know what is coming if it's granted! I have been in this share for years and had resolved to lose everything before I would sell at such a low SP, considering where it has been before and was thought it was going. So, hopefully it will now prove to have been worth the risk :)
