I agree. If he meant data release early Jan, then that’s what would have been said. We were expecting that in Q4. So when our expectations were not met at the end of Q4 we were told to expect a progress update early Jan. I.E reasons given for missing Q4 data.

Tom, I recollect it was an update on progress rather than an update on the trial, which has a potentially different meaning. Anyway, even a simple update on progress is late.

Z, agree first half Jan is up to 15th.
But early, mid, and late Jan mean something different.
The RNS says ‘early Jan’.

Thinking about AS motivations for a delay, does anyone know if there are reasons why a potential buyer would ask for news delay? Is this possible?

For those who question when early Jan ends try asking Google. Answer = today.

Perhaps he meant early February. To tie in with the science day.
Or perhaps he thought early January is an acceptable delay to Q4 2022 and he could get away with it. But then again, why would he be afraid and afraid of who? Or afraid of what?

If it can suddenly be announced we are using the wrong antibody in our LFT, then it’s not unreasonable to suspect the Science Day can be always be postponed.

The BBC includes the following. Is it likely that Avacta trials have been similarly delayed?

Agree could be tomorrow. But is only a progress report. So not convinced it will be monumental. Could just be an explanation of the missed dates.

Some unfairness and lack of faith being voiced.
They have always raised money on the exact predicted date. A progress report is easy peasy in comparison. Tomorrow is another day.

Energy, my feeling is the RNS will be this Friday, the 6th. The day after the three wise men arrive bearing gifts of health and wealth.

A nice summary of negative misconceptions.
1. Biotech is risky - surely not all biotechs.
2. LFT failure - true but more shots in goal.
3. AIM is risky - surely not all AIM companies.
4. Unproven technology - true to an extent but largely a mitigated risk. Even more so very soon.
