Sorry to get you wound up Playboy - I am also frustrated- out of interest I have just read the latest presentation which sells HUM as ‘A Compelling Investment’ in the Gold sector and quotes that the Company is under valued on all kinds of metrics - why haven’t the Directors seen it as compelling with a single share purchase (even a teeny weeny little purchase) - sorry FSJ these questions do need asking

I have a small business (as does FSJ) and If I went to an outside investor and said how about putting a load of cash in, but I’m not going to, it would seem very odd- I will raise this if there is an investor conf. call

FSJ - agree with all of your positive summary but why have there be no Director purchases over the last 2 years? (there have been plenty of non Close periods) - particularly the FD who has earned nearly £1 million over this time??

Further comment- I don’t think it’s all a big con - but why haven’t the Directors loaded up like many of us???

Agree Sands - a little troubling - the FD wouldn’t need to spend much of his salary to build a sizeable chunk. Bert did tell me that he had loaded his kids savings plans with shares - but who knows if that’s accurate

Sands - the Chairman has 60,000 shares and the FD (who earns £400k p.a.) has 150,000 - I haven’t the energy to work out how much they paid but it’s probably not a huge amount - I don’t have any internal information on the Company but I have purchased more than the 2 of them put together (and I earn a fraction of £400k per year) - why aren’t they backing the Company with more cash than an outsider like me

Most on this board know what a compelling story HUM is - mine on time / under budget / cash flowing / valuation very low compared to peers etc etc Myself and many others have consistently added to our holdings for the above reasons (probably more than we should) but despite all this there hasn’t been a single Director purchase over the last 2 years - that’s Odd (if LSE info is accurate) Pi’s have much less inside info than Directors and we are still prepared to back the Company with purchases - why aren’t they? I did mention this to Bert at the end of last year and he said that we should start to see Directors buying but nothing has happened???

I see there 2 buys on Monday - one of 155 and the other was 195 shares
Has HUM started the Buy Back??

When is AJB going to learn that none of us are happy with progress - but he keeps repeating it on here hoping that we can sort his head out for him!!

AJB - if you want to get any type of feedback you need to employ an element of diplomacy.
As you have found out to your cost - aggressive emails won't get answered and asking us endlessly on here is also futile - look forward to you turning up at the next presentation so you can make your points

I have emailed AC about the disappointing progress and he responded - the same type of response you get in Company announcements i.e. the well data they had (that they thought was accurate) was not as accurate as anticipated and the workovers have proved more of a challenge. He also stressed his disappointment and dissatisfaction with the outcome so far but was confident this would be rectified in the coming months - what more are you hoping to get AJB??

Ez - I am hoping they have learnt from past experience and quoted 90 days when really they are planning for 60 or 70 days in order to exceed expectations!! (Possibly too much to hope??)
