Solgfinger2. I’ve just got a funny feeling we’re in for an offer soon. 12 majors don’t approach (if true!!) and don’t follow up. I’m thinking an offer around 40p for Ensa before the MRE update!

I’d also be delighted if the total conditional funding being investigated included funds to buy the new spin off company giving SolGold complete control of Cascabel!

Any idea roughly what valuation the new spin off company might have? They own 15% of Ensa and 10% of SolGold being their main assets. 10% of SolGold so around £37m and say another £30m for 15% of Ensa? Maybe £70m? I’d be stunned if Newcrest didn’t snap this up at that price! They would own the equivalent of 24% of SolGold and another 15% of Ensa or would they then have to make an offer for the whole of SolGold if they owned 24%!? Really wish this spin off would get done and dusted sooner than later!!

I’ll need to look at latest RNS but I thought 2 rigs were stepping out slightly further away from central Alpala. The diagram is getting a bit confusing now!! I’ll take a look later tonight but at last count I thought I only counted 8 in and immediately around central Alpala. I might be wrong so not trying to cause any disruption or insinuate anything is amiss!!

I should read Fund Manager forum before posting on here! Ronin1 has already explained his timescale thinking but nice to have a bit of discussion here for those that don’t read Fund Manager posts. Have we got 10 rigs drilling central Alpala or only 8? I thought we had two rigs stepping out testing extensions to Alpala so only 8 infilling etc!?

Only 8 rigs currently at Alpala Earthling so 8,500m per month to complete within two months. We do have 2 track mounted rigs capable of 90m per day though so I reckon 2 months from mid August so roughly October to complete Alpala drilling. One more month for assays then incorporate into resource estimate so if we’re lucky mid December for update!?

Very interesting updated presentation! The new conceptual mine in particular!! Just need the PEA to let us know how much it’s going to cost and whether profitable or not but looking at the upcoming MRE update Alpala is humongous!!

Earthling, I think today’s news confirmed the updated MRE will be after the next 17,000m of drilling is complete at Alpala then incorporated into a revised MRE. I’d be very surprised if it came out before November but hey you never know.

I would agree with most of that Montecristo other than we have quite a high valuation at the moment. A lot of knowledgable posters have number crunched and given what we know so far I think the market cap is accurate and not over inflated like it was as 46p last year on take over hype. I’m sure NM doesn’t give a monkeys about small PI’s but I’m sure he’ll be pretty hacked off at the SP performance like most of us especially if he needs to raise funds in the not too distant future! He’s mentioned on more than one occasion recently he thinks SolGold is undervalued on Alpala alone and no value is being assigned to other tenements potential. This had also been commented upon by Red Cloud etc. I’ve just got a feeling the market is going to take this down and what worries me is how low are they going to take it!!?
