What these total turnips don't seem to understand is that the market prices ahead. That's why boohoo fell so much.
As the world's problems ease boohoo will likely go from strength to strength, not looking back, and therefore the price moves ahead of the recovery, in anticipation of it.
You could think of the current issues as having been a pause button meaning things will resume later...but boohoo did better than that and continued growing massively in the UK. It doesn't matter if the logistics issues caused problems for the EU/US unless you think that's permanent and there's no reason to do so.
You're currently getting a 350p stock for 122p...although a few years into recovery, the revenue numbers that form part of making it a 350p stock, will almost certainly be considerably higher....

I think THG and boohoo are both behaving as though they're being heavily accumulated (not in THG tho). Both having similar swings up and pullbacks trying to get people to sell before moving on.

Afraid that's not true and you just can't read.

In their most recent notification Marshall Wace raised their position by a tiny fraction - 0.02% (probably just selling a tiny bit at key technical levels trying to stop a sharper rise and let them close out their shorts more cheaply).

KUVARI PARTNERS LLP closed out their short 16th December.

Citadel Europe LLP had a 0.62% short on 9th Dec, then a position of 0.54% via Citadel Advisors LLC, so a reduction of 0.08% on the 16th Dec, and down to 0.37% on 17th Dec.

So basically the exact opposite of the situation you were trying to suggest, as the short position has been falling, and it's only Marshall Wace currently doing a bit of a King Canute.

Voltaire21 - in their situation, I'd be selling into the market every time it looks like it's breaking out, trying to kill momentum (not that that's acceptable). Wouldn't be surprised if this is the reason for a small rise in their shorts.

This is a company that's on course for about 2bn in revenue when this year closes in a few months, a big chunk of that in the UK, and growing fast over here.
A takeover at 250p would be about £3.2bn.
It's heading for EBITDA of between £117 million to £139 million in the midst of a logistics crisis!
As things improve that will only increase.
£3.2bn isn't actually very much considering the growth trajectory and money they could be making as the crisis eases.
