Which January.....because there's only a few trading days before this January and therefore that's not going to happen unless there's a takeover.

I suspect this could be why you see opening rises, with II level players perhaps taking all the stock they can get in the opening/closing auctions, and then the shorters trying to push it down during the day using as little stock as possible.
But that's all just total speculation :p

pipedreamer - its currently outside the general uptrend (however with known shorting attacking this I hold even less faith in the meaning of that - because I expect them to be regularly trying to push it below trend/support lines at every opportunity they get) so it'll probably be all to do with who (on the II/fund scale) is accumulating now. Because ultimately those shorters can keep trying to push it lower out of technical trends...but if they keep getting met with buying it's futile and will get them very exposed if they keep at it.

Nice idea, but I've never seen that work before, and think you probably just got lucky with your particularly transient clowns.

Real up-and-down ding-dong with the trading in the past few minutes, looking algo battling algo, one trying to push it down and the other the opposite / accumulating around a possible support line. It's flicking back and forth in price by the second.

dreammachine - as you can see it’s just going to be more essays of him telling everyone they’re wrong and saying they can’t explain things. Best just to ignore and not mention him. As I said earlier, it’s just ludicrous to think there’s one hard and fast way to value a company, and especially with his rigid conclusions on everything. He can’t accept anything but a myopic point of view. It actually doesn’t believe if he values the company via whatever measure or assumptions at 50p or 500p. The point is he’s free to do so but the problem is he can’t accept any other conclusion than his own and you can be absolutely sure there’s no “market consensus” on a valuation with some people selling at the lows and some like Norges buying at both the lows and prices well north of here.
So there is no point in discussion with him and best left ignored.

I’m just going to ignore his rants dreamachine. Nothing less that agreeing with his narrow minded viewpoint will result in essays full of jibes.
I imagine all the brokers with much higher targets than here all have inboxes full of messages from him calling them idiots too, unless he reserves this special treat just for us on this board ;) I don’t imagine any of them bother replying to him either :p

Bah....I read that and though I'd have a chance to close out my intra-day short for loads of money (just put on as a hedge whilst retaining my shares+longs). Turns out "nosediving" means a slight pullback and not even to the bottom of the trend channel yet.

danl90 this is the problem. You just ignore it when you're conclusively proved wrong. Your obsession with focussing on valuing a business on a narrow window of cashflows is just stupid. Let's pick Greatland Gold next. Never made any revenue yet valued between 600m to way over a billion. Why? Because people don't value a business on short term cash flows and especially not during a pandemic with short-term headwinds.
Your arguments are just moronic and that's why you're not worth replying to.
