Putting my Avacta bias and the fact that testing wasn't mentioned aside, there were some clear panic statements in tonight's "update".

All travel corridors suspended. Well, we are only a year into the pandemic.
We SHOULD be able to adjust the vaccines to cope with the variants
The vaccine DOES NOT provide immunity*.
Whilst Pfizer say there are potential delay issues this SHOULDNT affect the roll out.

Add to the above EU vaccine delivery concerns then you can guess that we are not in a good place.

* Apologies (ish) but I thought that a vaccine was meant to provide at least a degree of immunity but not according to our scientists, who are now telling us that it doesn't stop you catching it but reduces the effects of it (not that the trials showed this of course) and you can still pass it on
Patients are being moved miles from some hospitals to create capacity "locally". Presumably not local to where they have been sent to.

They clearly think we are all thick. Maybe I am.

Given less than 200 trades we have risen 5p on yesterday's close and the sell buy spread is 133.3p to 134.4p.

We now have 9 MMs. We had 6 MMs last March.

Yes, I was in then and have added all the way up to the highs. Hindsight would have made me a lot but I still think that the real highs are yet to come and I don't just mean covid as I obviously didn't buy in for that.

Yes. That was August RNS about the expanded agreement with LG Chem. An undisclosed upfront payment in a collaboration deal worth up to £1 billion. I would think that the undisclosed payment may become disclosed in less than two weeks time.

I think we had a financial update at that time in 2020, so am expecting one at or around then this year.

No doubt the company will want to be able to add in some business aspects to go with it. As the date falls on a Saturday, probably more likely on the Friday or following Monday.

Does that seem a reasonable assumption?

Interesting what you see and hear when you are waiting at a bus stop.

About six people have come by shouting that we have missed a boat. At a bus stop?

Two others came buy and said they would never see us again and then amazingly came back and said it again.

Somebody came by and wanted to push in but people in the queue said they wouldn't sell him their place.

They then said they wanted a cheaper ticket so a couple of us put him in the green bin by the bus stop.

More relevant things were also heard:

Scotland has just realised that the vaccine roll out plan doesn't get them where they want to be in time.

Governments say supplies are fine. I guess they would.

Reports that you can still spread covid after you have recovered from it.

I believe that accurate testing would help with all of the above apart from the green bin man.
