RE: Current significant shareholders4 Feb 2021 10:06
Just adding to leewill's excellent post on major shareholders.
The fact that none of the holdings of the major shareholders have reduced but the total shares in issue is higher (employee options I believe took place), then all of the major shareholders will have had to have been adding in order to maintain the same percentage holding. The fact that two have increased is very positive.
We also don't know how many were taken up by the MSCI fund when Avacta was added to it, again a positive.
As jdt mentioned, it is unlikely these funds would buy, let alone add, without due diligence and a sound belief in the IP.
No doubt that we have some "covid only" holders but the major investors aren't in that bracket.
In addition to institutional investors, there are known high net worth holders and the recent AffyXell preferred share buyers may also be thinking that both Daewoong and Avacta are worth considering given that they have invested in the joint venture between the two. At the current sp they might well see this as a bargain, as could a large pharma.
All background discussion, I know but should be of interest to all holders.
