Words of Mikhail. The report highlights as you will read the move away from Lithium Ion for Calafornia Energy Storage - the sad part is media outlets only know Tesla! Time for change!

We can, but if you had a clean energy fund or a group of pension funds which only will accept clean energy businesses, then we would be precluded from those investments and they are exactly the kind of investors Bushveld would want to encourage.
Clearly a finished power station and operation could be valuable by the time it is finished in 2012, but if it was a renewables energy project with energy storage may be for less money it would be a much more valuable asset to Bushveld Energy. It would be putting one's money where one's mouth is! (Sorry too many ones!) :-))

It is always good to check in and see that the SP is holding up well and today we have a nice blue colour yet again.

We all know the news is coming on multiple fronts which will indeed drive our SP higher. I think we are all pleased to see BBN back on the board sharing is measured and always carefully considered points.

Based on the number of long term holders who are making the case that we are not in the desired position to see any offers coming in for Bushveld Minerals, hostile or otherwise. I think we can safely say that neither would Fortune or Mikhail, want to see an offer too soon either.

However, there is one part of our business I would be delighted if it was either sold or floated off in the very near future. That is the Lemur power plant in Madagascar. The basis for that project is a coal power station. Now, this may be as 'green as it can be' with today's latest technology, but given today's global position on coal, it would be a very good thing for the business if this could be sold which would bring useful cash for plant upgrades or for being used to develop the first stage of Mokopane. The other alternative would be the Lemur project changed direction completely from coal to solar and wind generation and then installed a large VRFB energy storage system to balance the day. Now that would be a whole different story. Have Bushveld and Lemur missed a trick? I would love to know if Mikhail, Fortune and Prince have had that conversation in the board room in Pretoria. The point is this needs to be resolved soon in my book and I am sure many investors would be happy if this point could be cleared up.
In the meantime, I am very excited by the future and the potential upside of this business and we could not be in better hands.

There is no reason to think the dividend in 3 to 5 years will not be above today’s SP.

We don’t know where the SP will level at, but something between £3 and £10 is possible subject to the worlds acceptance of VRFB, the global market for high strength steel and even a large take up of Lithium Vanadium batteries in EV’s to increase range and life of those cells.
Any or all could have a huge impact on vanadium demand and our long term output and profitability.
Just consider the 3 to 5 year position!

Well, it was great to have the buy position re-affirmed and 45p as target price based on today situation is over double today's value (sorry to state the obvious).

Now if we were just to see the following come along:
- Winning a portion of the BESS project or even better the majority
- Positive plans for the increase of vanadium throughput through both Vanchem and Vametco to up to 8400 mtV
- Pressure returning to the market from the steel industry for vanadium in rebar
- New contracts for other VRFB contracts with VIP's
- Target dates for commencement of electrolyte production in ELDZ
- List on JSE and positive move onto the FTSE
- Update on completion of the Mokopane plans ahead of the DFS including primary ore off-take agreement
- Enerox consortium (Bushveld Energy) completion and news of supply contracts

In the end, any of these will have an effect and drive us up to and past this broker rating and towards the SP Angel rating of 82p (four times today's company valuation).

Keep the focus on the positive and patience will reward to prudent!

Absolutely Sanchez, they need the IPP solutions as soon as possible and ensure the BESS project gets signed off as soon as possible.
Eskom should not be delaying that project as it is fully funded.
But the priority then must be to increase the IPP limits to 10MW or even higher. This will unlock multiple solar or wind projects with energy storage.

VV Alfacomp is the knowledge here on Battery tech. He has been to all the battery tech presentations and many of the VRFB technology forums. A few of us have been to presentations together and the depth of the subject is much deeper than the simple costs. I am sure you have been through the VRFB presentations on the Bushveld Minerals website where Mikhail gives a clear picture. It is on YouTube also. Definitely the figures you have suggested are actually too low.
Bear in mind a VRFB lasts 25 to 30 years on a grid application compared to a lithium ion giving 3 to 5?years max before replacing cells.

Bella, that would be great, would it not, as part of the Q4 updates to here news on which VRFB system and solar installation were being used for Vametco and when this project will begin. It would also be very prudent to install a similar renewable IPP project at Vanchem if they can find the land to install the solar array. This will protect the plant as much as possible against the dreaded load shedding implemented by Eskom which has the potential to severely hamper SA industry.
The key though is the SA Government increasing the power generation permits for IPP's.

@bassguy, it is truly remarkable that this opportunity to buy at these low prices is still with us and until we get the first of multiple updates the SP could stay on this level unless we get a new buyer coming in. However, this suits many investors right now I guys as people build up some savings to invest again. I have no doubt though people we be much more comfortable with a platform price in the 30 to 40p mark.
To be fair with the points I already listed earlier we should fly past this point, with two key points:
- award of the BESS project with a strong portion favouring VRFB and BE
- With the above will bring certainty to the JSE listing
- news on Vanchem investment program
- news on further upgrades to Vametco with continued month on month efficiencies being maintained
- Mokopane development program outlines
- Bushveld Energy Consortium completion on Enerox GmbH
- News from other global suppliers on successful VRFB contracts being won, with further VIP options
- global pressure on vanadium supplies, creating pressure on pricing

It should not go unnoticed but the pressure on military investment means more high-quality lightweight steel with high strength properties, remains the silent client of vanadium alloys and today's world will be looking at its requirements.

I would also imagine that new technology in Lithion Ion batteries containing trace elements of vanadium chemistry will also bring new demand to the supply chain. If we see the changes in depth of charge in lithium-ion cells used in vehicles as the range is extended in EV's, this is yet another strong potential off-take for Bushveld Minerals which as yet is a development. But the demand for EV's will grow as oil prices rise, and this will require more large reserves of power locally at charging stations and VRFB technology is perfect for this application.

Really this story is still not have told and there are multiple points to give us a really positive lift.

@berserker, thanks that was a fair reply and yu make sensible points. However i can certianly say if Bushveld Energy are successful in the BESS tender they will make revenue almost immediately and certainly, 2021 accounts will show this due to commisions and electrolyte royalties, Bushveld Minerals will see revenue from the supply of the V205. So it is a triple edge profit centre!

Right @berserker please nail your colours to the mast! The million dollar question what is going to happen in 2020 to Bushveld Minerals with respect to the business and the share price. It is easy to dismiss everything, and deride information but far more interesting to share your thoughts on what will happen! Are you up for the challenge?

Well in 2018 we kept nudging the broker targets and then it was lifted accordingly as we went through them. Just because it has not happened in 2019 doesn't mean it will not happen in 2020. But as you were not here then, you would not remember this @berserker.
Many companies go through there broker targets. We have and no doubt will again!
People should not be surprised later this year to see a rise in Vanadium pricing and US$35 to US$45 could easily happen. This will have a dramatic effect on our profits from the steel processing clients side of the business. See where we are then.

Whatever happens, Energy Storage in South Africa backed up with renewables cannot come fast enough. With smart investment, they could resolve this issue and save a fortune within 3 years! Their industry needs reliable power supplies and people are very dependant on power, both for quality of life a mental well being in today's world. We take it for granted here today. Not surprising Mikhail and Fortune are shouting from the rooftops in every media opportunity they are given.
IPP could be a very important part of the solution if only they would lift the generation licences to a more sensible level.
