Faramog, I am worried about you! The Mokopane license is worth a huge amount to the value of this business. It is one of the largest, if not the largest high grade vanadium resources on the planet.
The 2018 figures are in the bag. We know that and nothing can change it. The world will see them soon.
The company is on the right track and a few people playing the market at this point makes no difference to the end game. Long term investors need to remember why they came on board and how they saw this company developing. Nothing has changed. The vanadium market is strong and we are making good profits even know.
There will always be negative posters on any board. Some just playing games, some like to be disruptive. But this companies fundamentals are incredible and remain so.
In fact the news in the last tweet weeks has just reinforce this to the next level.
These points are not dreams, they are happening and fully funded!
This is not the time to be selling, but buying!

Well, that is a very interesting article and if FeV and V205 prices are falling it plays perfectly into the hands of those producing VRFB as the prices are becoming more and more competitive.

I am looking forward to some feedback from the Vanitec conference in China this week. We may well get a much clearer picture into the vanadium market in China.

This market is growing by the day and the needs are not going away. So if rebar manufacturing is slowing you can be sure very soon the VRFB uptake will be growing. This is what we call hedging out supply!

I think though a few may by adding 2 + 2 and getting 3. I am still getting 4.

So if the VRFB world gets 15% of this Energy Storage market that is a shed load of Vanadium for 23.1 GW/h - or in the real world 115,500 mtV by 2024.

SOTRR - to come back on your point with respect to Lemur.

1. The best situation for Bushveld is the project is completed within its own funding and within its own business plan and the value is maximised. By end of 2021 as per the target. The project is then sold on to a suitable power producer and we use the money to build a greenfield plant at Mokopane which should be by then sorted.

2. A suitable key power producer coems along withing the next 12 months offers Bushveld a fantastic offer and we use again the funds to move the project on.

3. Spin the project off with a separate listing is possible but not ideal. All of a sudden the value for the plant will come off our value and we will not see value for the project as we saw with Afritin. Not many here would keep the Lemur shares?

So options 1 or 2 would, I think be the best for us. From a business point of view there is a tussel of what brings the best value and does the coal asset stop us progressing as a green energy supplier? Some investors will not touch companies with a foot in creating carbon emissions. So this is not an ideal situation.

Given the desire for news and the excitement of todays update. The board is exceptionally quiet after a Q1 update.

Whatever happens to this part of the Bushveld Minerals empire, it is sure to deliver an exceptional return from the 5 to 6 million paid for it. Which helped us secure one of main vanadium reserves.

If it is kept in the long term it would deliver substantial income for BMN. If it is sold off it will generate a payment back to Bushveld Minerals which may be a huge contribution towards the Vametco upgrade or even partially funding Mokopane when this becomes an option to develop. I know many do not find this exciting as it is a coal mine and power plant and it really does not fit our green credentials. But it will be a means to an end and this makes it a very important part of the BMN story.

My hope is it will help raise sufficient cash for BMN to be used to fund a very important cash generation project to grow the business in our most important fields. The mining of Vanadium to 10,000 mt and beyond, then the VRFB energy storage solutions that are underway with Bushveld Energy and helping us to become a ESS technology giant in Africa.

The opportunities are not to be missed here.

Sanchez, it sounds like the best thing to bring forward and achieve on time will be the JSE listing. The news stream detail will then have a huge impact on the new investors and hopefully, have the same effect here. I wonder if they may consider moving BMN onto the FTSE350 at the same time as the joint listing? This could also be a good time to do such a thing as the company value may well lift considerably?
The second part of 2019 may well be dramatic with 2020 when each part of stage two of the business expansion will be underway.
We only have to look at what happened in 2018 when new large investors came on board that was the lighting up of the SP. No reason to think that the same will happen again.
Creep up in price between now and July and then the litmus paper may well be lite.

BBN, I can't find the information to hand, but I remember either in something I read or in an interview that a value of $200 million was mentioned for the completed project. This was add 17 pence to the share price?

Key Highlights:

Lemur has signed a Project Preparation Finance (“PPF”) facility agreement with the Development Bank of Southern Africa (“DBSA”) for an amount of US$1 million.
The facility will assist in funding the completion of the project development activities and advisory services for the Imaloto Project, thereby enabling Lemur to reach financial close.
Review and sign-off of the power bankable feasibility study (“BFS”) has been completed by Sinohydro.
Review of opencast mine BFS completed. Optimisation exercise underway to consider the inclusion of underground mining within the development plan.
Engineering, Procurement and Construction (“EPC”) contract negotiations for the power plant are progressing.
Social and Environmental Impact Assessment (“SEIA”) fieldwork ongoing and on track to be completed in Q2 CY2019.

Negotiations with potential lenders are progressing.
Financial close refers to the date on which Lemur secures funding to implement the Imaloto Project pursuant to all finance documents being entered into and all the conditions precedent being fulfilled to the satisfaction of the funders.

What is Lemur?

Lemur Holdings is a wholly owned subsidiary of Bushveld Minerals and is the company's coal and power platform. The Imaloto Power Project is located in the southwest of Madagascar and consists of a 136 million tonne coal resource (90 per cent of which is of JORC compliant Measured and Indicated). The Project also includes a 30-year Concession for an initial 60MW mine mouth coal power plant as well as over 250km of new transmission lines, developed in parallel as one of Madagascar's leading independent power producers. Imaloto also has a secured 30-year electricity off-take with JIRAMA, the State Utility.

The initial phase of the Imaloto Power Project will potentially increase Madagascar's baseload capacity by approximately 15 per cent and almost double the transmission lines in the country. This is particularly important as the southwest region is mostly rural and about 95 per cent of the population does not have access to electricity. In terms of the in economic impact on southwest Madagascar, the Imaloto Power Project is set to contribute close to US$200 million in foreign direct investment into Madagascar and will create over 1,000 jobs and approximately US$1 billion dollars in revenue for the government of Madagascar over its useful life.

Well for me there is nothing but positives in this RNS. As far as the project is progressing. Clearly, the company is doing everything it can to ensure this project delivers on its goals. Which in the end will be to the benefit of Madagascar, bringing power and jobs to a country with much need.

Funding to move forward in place, targets met as required. All good.

The further this project progresses the more value it will bring to Bushveld Minerals. That value, in the end, will be able to be used to finance projects which will be key to the development of the vanadium business.

The project may well still have 2 years to play out to achieve this goal and the learning process from a project like this will help the business as a whole.

With respect to the resource update for Vametco, this can come with the Q1 update for me. It should be appreciated that they are keeping shareholders up to date.

Cindercone - you cannot say that long term holders are lying. Not every long term holder has the same strategy. Many here buy and hold and then as additional funds come in they add. There may well be a few who trade out at their perceived peaks on each rise with small percentages. Then buy back in as the price falls. This could be seen as a very good way to increase ones holding. This strategy may work for some, but many just hold and add.
One thing though most here still are very optimistic on the future. Clearly this looks very good. Hence you being here.
But you cannot just accuse people as you do. This is not fair.
Every one has there own strategy and circumstances. You have to respect this.

Mogwhy - would you not call yourself a ramper - you must be you are rating his investment as STRONG BUY! :-)

One point, even in a difficult market place there are always winners. Right now Vanadium looks very strong candidate to be a long term winner. Why?

The global issue of CO2 emissions from energy production needs a way to be resolved. To make the most of Wind and Solar which is the cheapest natural energy production source and battery storage technology is needed for balancing and vanadium electrolyte has been proven to offer the best solution. This market is just in its infancy and this makes it a perfect option.
Nuclear power is another option, however, it is not very popular given the possible risks attached have the worst consequences. Not one many would vote for.
There is no such thing as a sure thing. But one can edge ahead with those technologies which have the most momentum and this is gaining momentum all the time. Low-cost producer in the best location for extraction in a continent with the best option to harness the energy where there is little power transmission makes this look like the right place at the right time.
