RE: Are BMN now a vulnerable TO target23 Apr 2019 21:15
I do not think that Fortune or Mikhail are anywhere near realising the value they would be happy to consider selling the business.
Why is this:
1. They are young guys who are highly motivated and they have a passion and want to build this company into something South Africa can be proud of.
2. The company is too young and has so much it can achieve. The upside potential would be nowhere near achieved if it was sold to a global miner or even an energy company. It needs the direction of passionate people and that is what it has now.
3. Bushveld Vametco and Bushveld Energy have such huge upside potential. We are looking at Vametco delivering at least 10,000 mtV per annum with the combination from Vametco and Brits once it is fully expanded. The Bushveld Energy business will not be stopping at 1000 MWh of electrolyte, this is the first destination for the business and they, of course, want the VRFB assembly plant in full operation. They are also looking to partner with potential renewable businesses to offer a full project package going forward which will maximise the service and operation income from the full package. Of course, we should remember the leasing business partnership which will create a strong revenue stream for Bushveld Energy on top of the streams of income already in place over a minimum of 20 years for every ESS that electrolyte is supplied to.
4. Bushveld Mokopane - this mine is currently the largest high-grade vanadium asset in the world and once this mine is allowed to be opened and a state of the are process plant is built it will have the potential to produce more than 10,000 mtV on its own and potentially more with V205. The revenue stream from this mine beyond 2027 could be extremely profitable.
So if you add the potential revenue and the value that these two businesses could maintain will give Bushveld Minerals a very high valuation indeed. This may be 2023 to 2027 but if you are growing a business and you have put your heart and soul into it why cut yourself short? I have given potential valuations before and some don't or can not see what I have predicted, but eventually, this business if everything happens as envisaged, will have a significant valuation.
As Alfa has said even £2 as a valuation is too little based on the upside. Many of our PI's would be more than happy with this right now I am sure. But, that is not the point. For the BOD it is about their success and delivering on a plan which they feel they can deliver on and quite possibly no others could do in the same way.
Look on the business reaching its real value starting from 2023 and reaching its peak around 2025 to 2030, based on the global need for energy storage if we are to stop this global warming cycle.
