VJ, the company is doing very clever strategic marketing by having the CEO of Bushveld Energy as the Chairman of Vanitec. He is a global expert and promoter of Vanadium Redox Flow Battery technology and he understands the market in a way you might dream you were an expert in your field. The point is until you have all the ingredients not only in the bowl, but piping hot and ready to serve, you must not call dinner!
You see what happens in 2020. Then the marketing will turn up a notch.
We are quietly promoting the benefits and warming the market.
We have the most solid foundation suppling the stern market with the optimum product at an enviable price / profit margin with zero debt. Perfect.
The SP will correct and investors will be very happy.
You need to see what is really happening and focus on what it will deliver.

Well Ladies and Gents, my excitement for the future of this business is as strong as ever.
The share price may have slipped way more than anyone here ever thought possible, but to be honest this makes this investment even more compelling than ever. I know I am seen as super positive, but there is a very good reason. The price of vadium as it is not a handicap right now it is an asset. Just to be clear at $38 per kilo when we have a cost of $19 per kilo, we are still making a 100% profit per kilo! Most importantly there is the VRFB market which needs electrolyte to supply the growing market for energy storage. No one should underestimate the size of this market and what a key position VRFB will take. We all not it here or should do exactly why:
VRFB's are easily scalable to 4 / 6 / 8 / 12 or more hours depending on the size of the liquid stored
VRFB can cycle multiple times per day with no loss of performance or thermal runaway (no cooling needed)
VRFB do not lose their depth of charge over their life
VRFB last a minimum of 20 years and the vanadium can be fully recycled at the end of life
Vanadium is more abundant than copper
Vanadium has a significantly lower impact on the environment when it is mined and processed compared to Lithium

Given that Bushveld Minerals are set to be the first major vertically integrated producer outside China and site on the largest primary vanadium resource the world, we are sitting on a financial gold mine which is about to have its moment. We have already the predictions for the market. The world is realizing every day that we need to change and the Climate Change lobby is going to be a primary political focus despite what Mr Trump may say! If he does not get on board he may find himself becoming an even bigger plonker than he already looks! The youth of today want a change and this is a global drive will make it happen.
I have seen so many presentations and short films on the subject to realize that Energy Storage will be a Mega global market.
So don't lose heart, with a short term drop in SP, at some point this will not just bounce up it will take off. Next week we will learn more from the Vanitec meeting and the news due from Bushveld Energy is likely to be very exciting indeed.
8 months ago most here were very excited indeed. Nothing has changed, in fact, we are even stronger today than we were then. Just read the RNS's released since then. Our position is exceptional.

"Perpetual Charge Electrolyte" is now used in VRFB from Vanadium the Goddess of Minerals, it never degrades over the life of the energy system. It is so beautiful it can even be reused in future energy storage systems!

Yes Alfa, I have watched that video and is opens the concept and the potential but it wasn’t vanadium. I just hope that soon he can do a Vanadium one.
They are doing a great work to promote new technology and it won’t be long.

She is a very powerful force and she is making sure the world listens! Her influence will win her many friends but the big governments and companies humour the situation but are not yet really embracing this.

This is a very interesting topic. As I shared a couple of weeks ago after the "Fully Charged Show" at Silverstone. None of the UK Solar / Home Battery Project Installers have even heard of Vanadium Redox Flow Baterries and I ended up explaining what they were, how they worked and the key advantages. Currently in the UK there are no retailers of these systems. So there is very little reason to expect the UK energy storage market to be discussing these systems. This is a major problem. I have been discussing this with the CEO of Volt Storage Jakob Bitner. He told me the problem they have is thet the demand in Germany is already bigger than they can currently deal with and they have concentrated their efforts on the local market until they can expand a grow the business to the next level. The other issue is the availability of vanadium in the market suitable for electrolyte! Well, there is a thing!

So until there is a UK supplier of these VRFB Energy Storage Systems for the domestic market VRFB will remain a subject people don't engage with. I have not been able to engage with Robert Llewellyn, but he is the man to present these to the UK market. If he was able to present the VRFB story then it would be something the UK media might well pick up on!

All of us can spread the word and the benefits. As people talk and share the info it becomes a talking point.

There is no doubt that the installation home smart energy meters will mean in the long term we will end up paying more for our power at peak times and then there will be low-cost power at other times of the day (much more than economy 7 as was). Then we will all need hope energy storage to buy off the grid at low energy times! Let alone the installation of solar systems, with ESS which will be ideal. I think the time will come when every home will have a form of ESS of 4 to 10 kWh and switching energy suppliers will be harder without changing the smart energy meter.

So if I was able to ask Mikhail, for one thing, it would be a 7kWh or a 15kWh home VRFB system to be built under license around the world and Bushveld Energy supplying the electrolyte. I would definitely buy one and I would imagine many investors here would too and share the benefits!

So, we all need to get 'charged up'! Gossip energy storage systems and 'flatten" the market for Li-Ion as a system that has too many risks! The market for VRFB will soon be buzzing!

Is this to do with the loan from BMN to ATM?

This change in the VAT ratings for renewables at home is a disastrous decision and should be challenged. If the UK is serious about reducing carbon emissions the low VAT rate should stay or even be reduced to zero to encourage every family and home owner to install renewable energy projects.
Sometimes the UK government make the most ridiculous and abstract decisions. We have a chance to lead the world not follow!
I would like the install a VRFB at home but this additional tax will make the ROI to long.

The other day Ophidian asked if someone would like a project to work out the value of Bushveld Minerals, mineral assets in the ground.

Well, this is something that always gets me curious. So, looking on the Bushveld Minerals website and the various reports over the years and using current prices from SP Angel and Google

This is what I can see:

Vanadium – 440MT ore – which turns in 7 million tonnes which today's prices relates to wait for it - $140,000,000,000 or £110,236,220,472.44

Iron Ore – 991 MT ore – which at todays prices relates to $61,442,000,000 or £48,379,527,559

Phosphate - 15,840,000 tonnes – which at today’s prices relates to $823,680,000 or £648,566,929

Coal – Madagascar - 136,000,000 tonne – which at today’s prices relates to $4,624,000,000 or £3,640,944,881

I have not included our 10% stake in Afritin which has considerable Tin and other assets.

So, the total value at today’s prices at today’s costs excluding taxes the assets are worth a staggering:

£162,905,259,842 not bad for a company valued at £279,760,000.

So that’s £163 Billion for £279 Million! One could say this business looks like it could have a significant upside.

Clearly, the vanadium asset does not include any extra value which could be attributed from the Vanadium electrolyte and Bushveld Energy business.

As Ophidian has pointed out these assets should be doing the talking.

It is very interesting that Peel Hunt LLP should re-rate there broker rating today to 45p. They are one of the MM's? Then this huge churn appears.

We can all say, well it would be great if the SP held for another "x" days as I have a few more pounds coming so I can top up. To be honest, I can easily say the same. But if it by some miracle shots up to £1.20 on Monday morning I can't say I would to be too unhappy - would you! Not saying it will of course! But the momentum of buying on the rise and seeing how high it goes is always much more exciting than watching it sit in a holding pattern as we have had for weeks as Sanchez said earlier it is uninteresting!

If we did have an RNS on Monday announcing the JSE listing, it would be very convenient that the listing happened on the Monday 1st July. Might even convert to SETS and loose all those pesky MM games. Still they might play computer games with fast buying and selling instead.....

This would give all the SA investors chance to buy in ahead of the Vanchem confirmation of purchase, the up and coming Mokopane Mining licence, news about BE opening there new Vanadium Electrolyte plant in Q1 2020 following approval for the construction phase in the ELDZ. Maybe even a couple of new VRFB projects being announced for delivery in H1 2020. I am speculating but any of these things could happen and are very likely to happen.

We may find that not only SA investors come on board but a load of other new investors too.

I don't know about the 45p broker target, we might just blow the doors off the 90p target. We have said for a long time at some point this company will rerate very quickly. We have seen it happen before and it could be about to do it again.

I think we would have some very happy and excited investors if it does!

Ophidian you are right, that is why I have posted the link to it over the last 24 hours. It is a solid read with much information pertaining to the future.
I think too many people here just want to be spoon feed the info and are reluctant to try to read and understand the information already in the public eye. There is no doubt the Bushveld website is a very useful resource and it is kept for more up to date today than in the past.
I am sure many investors would have a much better understanding if they spent as much time reading and considering the information which paves the future than typing on here about the day to day SP prices unless they are all traders!
The technical approach unlocking the strategy of the company will in the end deliver the financial rewards.

Hi F100, Because some investment companies have not sufficiently seen the light and the upside potential. Also, some investment companies bank profits and then move on. The Market Markers make the most of these situations and the PI's short term carry the stress. But patience will be rewarded and I am happy to wait.

The key to the real lift-off here, is the market uptake of the Vanadium Redox Flow Batteries. The Eskom contracts for Energy Storage have enough for BMN to get started. The IPP projects with solar / wind in and around SA and the African continent will come and the opportunities to supply Vanadium Electrolyte around the world may prove to be a bigger opportunity than we can currently see.
Time is the key here, but i am watching and my confidence is building day be day.

Not sure if this is the answer you wanted but it is my thoughts. I think Alfa is on the money with the history of what happened after Erongo sold out.

Let's see, but it won't be at this low level for long. The next platform level I can see is around the 70p mark after peaking someway above that.

Well, I am delighted that the Brits resource has been defined further and this again shows what a globally significant player Bushveld Minerals is the developing vanadium market.

Vametco clearly already has enough Vanadium in the ground to last for many years to come in terms of the needs for steel market. Mokopane has the reserve in the ground required to meet the needs for the VRFB market with huge upside potential.

Brits underlines everything with an easy Vametco expansion. In the latest presentation on slide 16 the company has stated that the vanadium resource drops slightly as you go east. There is always the question if required could Bushveld acquire land to the west where the resource may be as good as it is at Vametco. But do we need this right now? No, we don't. What we will require an increased capacity from the upgrades at Vametco and Vanchem to deal with the upside potential over the next 2 to 5 years. The plan is in place ready to be implemented and that is perfect for me.

Just updated my holding. Which is a little down, temporarily as funds needed for essential home improvements. However, please do not think I am not just as positive as ever. I will be adding again soon to take my holding up to a new high.

I am so delighted to see so many new posters declaring there holdings, it is good to see so many new investors joining this incredible investment story. For many joining at this moment with the SP in the mid-twenties, the current buying price is an exceptional opportunity.

There is no doubt that the progress being made in the background will come to the fore very soon especially with respect to the upside position for Bushveld Energy with the Vanadium Electrolyte and VRFB assembly. The market demand in this sector is looking very strong indeed from my market research. I know there are a few well know contributors on this board who are also working hard in the background to research the VRFB market. But the projects around the world are starting to look more and more to VRFB's. So expect at very large demand for our Electrolyte / Vanadium in 2020 and beyond!

Mokopane is coming very soon in my opinion. It may be the most important part of the BMN jigsaw for long term and large VRFB manufacturing.
The demand for steel additives coming from Vametco and Brits, and the demand for Vanadium Electrolyte from Mokopane.
Given the number of potential projects needed for ESS the take up is likely to be so big Mokopane is the key to supply.
