Ignore Stav mate, I told him to lay off those magic mushrooms a fortnight ago but I see that he's eaten the lot!! You have to accept that charting's not for everyone but don't let them lessen YOUR enthusiasm for TA. I've often asked the disbeliever's what 'system' they have in place instead of TA to indicate their buy and sell points, and all too often it's all a little hazy, with fundamentals and research quoted, amongst other subjective criteria. Of course fundamentals are vitally important, but they often don't determine a share price, and as I posted on the Hawk bb last week, they are no defence when the market 'overheats' a share then decides to cool it again over rather a long period - e.g Magp. At the end of the day, we should all be critical and honest about our performance as shareholders over the longer term - we are all in it for the monetary gain after all - and if things aren't going too well then examine where we're going wrong and rectify it if possible by being open to alternative strategies. Anyway, all rather too heavy at such an early hour lol. gl and I know that Stav can take the ribbing - just as well as he gives it out !! ;)

I would argue that A14 IS actually price-sensitive to Matra's share price and would require a RNS at spud but wdik and may be it has already spud as you mention? In a ridiculous way, I actually miss the company that Matra once was in terms of the mystery of Soko's size - but I obviously don't miss the setbacks which ultra summarizes. To this end, I will still be very interested to see if the new operator can achieve 1000+ bopd without water cut, or very little water cut. Call me a dreamer lol ;)

Thinking logically though, the new operator will surely drill A14 as soon as, and avoid giving away $10m without any chance of comeback on unforeseen technical difficulties with the drill. (foreseen difficulties agreed with Matra at the time of sale of Soko, don't count). Even though Matra's RNS says "The Board understands that the Purchaser holds significant acreage to the east and southeast of the Sokolovskoe Field with existing infrastructure and estimated production of approximately 6,000 bopd...." the purchaser still doesn't sound big enough to write off $10m without any chance of escaping payment to Matra through unagreed technical probs with A14. We shall see....

I see that Phil Oakley is recommending this share as a buy in this week's Money Week magazine.

Runner, sorry to hear of your departing because you've been a solid contributor to the board. GL with things. fwiw, I do think that this share has been walked down recently and suspect it will be in advance of another strong upwards breakout but obviously on my hunch. gl

I'm not sure what's going on here at the moment with all these big price movements on no volume? I hope all becomes clear and soon!!

This is being significantly walked-down on tiny volume. Yesterday there were 75,000 shares bought and 37,473 shares sold and yet the sp finished 6% down. Today there are 100,000 shares sold and 50,000 bought and we are down another 3%. (I cant see the live trades so there might be other trades in the pipeline). It's madness. The only possible legitimate explanation would be a very big delayed sell from a couple of days ago which hasn't been published yet. May be it's a good sign that something is going to kick off and the mms want cheap shares beforehand?? Who knows?

Just to clarify, the current 20 v 50 day EMA chart is BULLISH :D
