The Relative Strength Index is currently around 85.2% and into overheated / overbought territory.

It's previously peaked at 96.5% on the SOLG chart and may rise a little higher to allow the sp to reach 40p during this current run from 26p??

Who knows, but it looks like a breather in the sp rise might well be either here or just around the corner.

If so, then a retrace and Wave 4 of a possible Elliot Wave pattern may occur before Wave 5 takes the sp higher again. (I posted a chart last night showing the possible Elliot Waves).

Further revelations regarding Majors being involved could of course change everything.

hi gilo, GL with your SOLG shares - a very good choice imo, but I would say that wouldn't I as a current shareholder lol.

After recent the recent 6.1% BHP development, I honestly can't see SOLG going to production either alone or with Newcrest.

And I certainly don't want to see them doing such, as it would incur years and years and massive dilution.

I've always posted that I think NM would want to take this to production and in an ideal world, I still think he would. BUT, events have possibly overtaken him, and very possibly he foresaw and even hoped that they would.

It's all theory because the only people who know the whole story are the SOLG BoD and even they can't be privy to what other players are planning ?

Manlord that's mighty friendly of you to say that - much appreciated :D If you've been following the SOLG saga you'll know that this is (probably) the start of the significant re-rate for the share price, hence still time to get on board the train to riches. NumptyDumpty welcome and if you're genuinely a shareholder of SOLG then best of luck to you & with your posting. People will unfortunately be rather sceptical after so many posters have been banned after seemingly hellbent on troublemaking and reincarnating ....

eyesup in reply re the MMs I doubt many would begrudge them their daily bread - they have a job to do after all, but all too often they appear to be greedy so n so's, taking the urine at private investor's expense. Certainly not on my Christmas card list ! But never having been a MM I suppose I shouldn't second guess their role. What I very much DO object to though is the farce of the reporting of buys or sells. It's a matter of fact whether a trade is a buy or sell and should be reported correctly. Neither do I agree with the delayed publishing of larger trades. So when any trade is made, it should be reported accurately as a buy or sell and at the time it occured ! Rant over.... sheesh lol

Now the share price has fallen back to what BHP paid for their 6.1% last week, I wonder if they will be buying more on the open market ? I just can't see them being satisfied with their current holding.

I'm hoping that the 200 day EMA will now act as support, having previously acted as very stubborn resistance since November 2017.

If i was a major player, i'd have done exactly what BHP have done : bide my time and (hopefully) wait for the share price to fall from the 2017 highs, thereby giving me much more bang for my buying buck....simples !

BHP buying 6.1% of SOLG will surely have focused the minds of all other interested parties in the SOLG jigsaw, and could herald the start of cards being shown/played by the other parties ??

Bozi I'd save your breath with Jimiley if I was you ! I've come to the opinion that Jim actually ENJOYS posting pessimism about SOLG and the replies his posts generate. And whether he really invested @ 35p is anyone's guess ? As to the chart, I've not bothered to check the TA recently because I'm staying in for the ride - however that developes. But it's worth noting that TA triangles don't always lead to significant ups or downs when the triangle finishes - but simply a horizontal 'mush' of the share price. Who knows ? What we certainly don't want to see imo is SOLG fund raising sub 20p !! gla believers

Jim as I'm sure I've said to you before, I would expect that the vast majority of holders / posters here are very frustrated by the depressed share price (i know i am !! ) but the difference is that you don't see them whinging about it on a daily basis. Try being more +ve or at least stop ranting about the sp all the time is my advice - much better for your mental wellbeing and blood pressure too imo. Plus it would leave you more time to enjoy your birdwatching :D
