Many of us have bought shares which didn't perform as well as we'd have liked them to, but for a supposed 'current investor' to keep on badmouthing a share like SOLG with great potential just doesn't sound right ! Readers will make up their own minds

i will take far more researched LTH posters than me here, to try and put into context what's happened here with MAGP and why the market has totally fallen out of love with this share. I am a LTH albeit having traded a bit along the way (thank goodness I did), but have to admit to having long-since lapsed on keeping abreast of current events here. I'm sure Robsky, Guidedog, smidsy et al will have their own take on events and my utmost respect to them and others who continue to search for the positives. It's actually quite shocking how the fortunes of shareholders have changed from euphoria many years ago to today's ugly situation. And it's not as though MAGP have been operating in highly risky parts of the world either !! I sincerely hope that MAGP survive and prosper - not for my sake because I only ever had relatively modest holdings - but for those investors who bought in big at much higher prices. gla, we will certainly need it imho

Utter respect for the loyal posters keeping this ship afloat ( for any newbies - the great bulletin board from yester-year always likened us to a ship setting sail to gold & riches - which actually happened 5 years ago !!). Hoping things improve and our ship sails again....

Yikes !! Isn't $30 a barrel MAGP's break-even price? Or has that changed? The new efficiencies of US shale oil plays may ironically turn out to be their own downfall by driving oversupply and a falling dollar per barrel. And I see that US shale oil production is set to increase by 122,000 bopd this month too ! Holding my head in my hands here .... oh for some great news :-\

YES they are reducing the number of shares in circulation by issuing 1 NEW SHARE for every 17 PREVIOUSLY HELD shares. 1 NEW share = 17 PREVIOUSLY held shares. If you had 17 old shares, they will be worth 1 @ 17 times the price !! gl The Market Capitalization (MCAP) will remain THE SAME as a calculation of SHARES ISSUED x SHARE PRICE.

if you had 17000 shares, then after the consolidation, you will have 1000 shares

Hi kevwed, you seem to be talking about 2 entirey different issues: 1) Your observation about KEFI that "There is also a 17 for 1 share [CONSOLIDATION] so 0.33p is acually 5.61p in new money " is spot-on !! 2) Not to be confused with your first question about "I had an open offer a few months back on another company of 25/2 where i could buy 2 shares for every 25 that i held at a reduced figure."
