I agree Tony - not that it makes it any easier for anyone and especially the likes of Plaza with huge holdings. What's going to happen? I don't know and I'm not going to hazard a guess because I simply do not have any knowledge about these sorts of situations and how they can play out. It's easy to beat yourself up at times like these and feel stupid, but who could honestly have seen this coming? We have to try to keep our nerve and patience while things develop and hope that it pans out well. gla

Going long term on a stock can reap its just deserts no doubt - but even the GKP's of this world retrace after a while unless momentum continues. That said, GKP could still be humongous at some stage if all goes right. As regards Rolls Royce (RR), I will buy in to them soon. I think you may read MoneyWeek as I do because they tipped them this week - after tipping them a few weeks ago before the big drop, and mention their £71 billion order book. I anticipated this week's continued downwards dribble and will buy in when I feel the time is right. gl mate and apologies for the OT to the bb but it doesn't do much harm imo unless over the top.

billy, many thanks to you mate re SOLG and I hope you've made a pile on DOR amongst others! Don't get too greedy is my advice and top slice if you feel like it. You seem to be doing fairly well atm and long may it continue. Let's hope MTA also does you proud -- after all this time :)

fatetrader, welcome to the bulletin board and good luck investing and posting. May I ask if you are a 'virgin poster' or someone who's posted before under another name?? Nemesis made a valid point imo in his/her post to you. But for what it's worth, this share is in suspension at the moment and awaiting a re-admission to the Alternative Investment Market (AIM). It's all to do with the assets Matra acquired towards the end of last year and a significant change in the operations of the company. The best starting point to research any company is their Regulatory News Service (RNS) releases - which have to be correct in what they DO say but don't necessarily answer all the questions we private investors desire lol. I see that frustrations from waiting are causing discord to say the least ! Relax is my advice - if you're in, then you're in and nothing you can do until we are re-admitted to AIM. Let's hope that all these months of suspension are worth the wait ! GLA

Thanks for nothing lol. fwiw, I think all your theories are cr@p too ;) (joking). Also fwiw, Gideon Tadmor could easily have been able to go to his own company of Delek and confide that he couldn't work with Barsky & Co. Being a huge company, I'm sure they could write-off any losses in an instant - and I suspect that's the case re losses, but don't know of course! All just my opinion. Delek's remaining shares bought by Tricon = positive and all we really need to know.

LT, we'll never know the truth of it of course, but I would hazard a very strong guess that Delek's leaving has been more about personalities & working relationships rather than economics and Matra's future potential. Nothing stays the same forever and our current Chairman Bill (James William) Guest is all that remains of what I've termed 'Old Matra' ever since Barsky came on board 21 months ago. Hoping to see Matra re-admitted to AIM soon ! gla

Great to see a lively bb here again and that Matra may commence trading again before too long. I can't really comment on Ultra's post concerning the Market Caps of similar companies in the US other than Magnolia (MAGP) in which I'm a longer term holder. 2013 was a stinker !! I hope for good things here :D

I agree with you, all viewpoints are welcome on this bulletin board, but when newbies post negatives about Matra then ramp other shares (which they will surely be holding already), then I think it stinks. There is too much of this rubbish on various boards nowadays I feel !!

november - welcome to you if you are invested in Matra and good luck with your posting. I imagine that Delek would have insisted on a good price - because as I recall, they are sitting on an average of around 3p per share, but I may be wrong on that.

I think the whole thing is strange but we have no control as PI shareholders. I will take a positive from it and hope the new year brings us success.

My only conclusion would be to consider Delek's investment model. They typically invest in a company for 4 to 6 years. Hence Matra are now outside the timeframe of their model. Who knows?
