That can work. I bought in Jan 2018 at 1.64p but didn't sell on the 2018 4p spike - whoops. Averaged down in 2019 at 0.95, 0.77 (this is the bottom, right?) and 0.47. I held them until the last few weeks and sold out with a nice 20k profit. That strategy have its risks but if you know enough about the potential upside (I knew the price would rise up to the drill) and can hold then it can pay off.

I want the first one. I really am not expecting the second. I do expect the third one.

Agreed but delivering that value is another matter. Imagine you had to pitch HUR to a potential II, and they inevitably ask about the BoD track record of performance - I mean, you'd be sunk from the outset. That's why this share is currently f@*%$d. That's why the market hasn't priced any upside in because aside from what we know about (half of which isn't good) there's no forward plan, and no faith in there being a plan. HUR is far from viable as a long term investment right now - it's for day traders and speculators only. I hope next week is the first step to changing that so I can get even and get out.

I think the CPR is going to be somewhat better (no evidence, just going on probability) but will fall far short of being fantastic, and the share price reaction will be limited. I.e. we might see 25% then a retrace. If we get that CPR and an FWP and finance is sorted with no/little dilution then we should see more. I'm not expecting the HUR BoD to do us the favour of getting all that sorted for next week. Finance and FWP are probably dependent upon the finalised CPR anyway so news on all 3 at once is probably impossible.

Slift may be blunt but he's right. This kind of rise is nothing - and remember to check the spread (not the LSE quoted spread but the real spread). 25%+ would be significant for a start - and then many LTHs need several hundred percent to get close to breakeven.

I'm still convinced that nothing is going to move much here before the CPR.

oil production 12.2 ('000 b/d)
total hydrocardon production 13.1 ('000 boed)
produced water 3.8 ('000 b/d)

23.75% water cut (my calculation).
