Interesting video and good to see the comparison over the years. It would be great if one someone knowledgeable on EUA operations could post a bit more commentary regarding the imagery - e.g. in the cleared areas, what happens next? Do we know what is next for the site - more clearance? Or can they move towards mining in those newly cleared areas soon? Etc.

The war, and therefore the new economic reality, is still pretty young. Russia prepared for this with gold, a treasury war chest, and other measures such as LNG infrastructure precisely so they could weather the short-term storm. Of course, we know they expected the operation to be over in 3 days and therefore the political blowback to blow over fairly quickly. I wonder if any Kremlin officials factored a multi-year war into their Excel spreadsheet? I doubt it - not one they could present to the big cheeses anyway. Let's see how the Russian economy does next year. Frankly, I hope we get a sale this year and then I won't give a damn!

Hmmm we'll see. I think lots of profit taking will peg us to the 50-70p range, but if the CPR blows the bloody doors off then maybe a pound is doable. But don't listen to me, I'm as much an oiler as the rest of you lot lol. Though a very positive future ahead, little doubt! (just one thing DB, we need more than one well producing, please sort that risk asap, thank you...)

I didn't consider that IIs could also buy on the open market rather than as part of a placing, share issue, etc. Open market buying would support a more stable (and higher) share price with those shares bought by IIs being in stickier hands.

I do wonder if it's too early in the life of the company for a dividend. So getting some money back is nice but I don't need any cash right now, and while it should help the share price, any money taken out of the company can't be invested by the company for growth. We only have one working well which is a risk I'd like to see mitigated asap, and I'd like to see UJO grow revenues further. If the dividend was part of a strategy of improving company visibility with an eye on bringing in investors then I'd understand that rationale, except with our revenues I'd hope that the era of dilution for funding is well over ('scuse the pun). Any counterpoints? What have I missed?

As someone who has bitter experience with multiple oilers, I now know beyond doubt that I need to filter the OP. How? Well anyone who says this:

...plainly knows absolutely nothing about DL. I don't think I'll be joining the Telegraph group if that's the quality of the thinking that goes on there. With apologies to those group members if this person really isn't representive.

No. their finances are fecked and the board are getting rogered by their shareholders because of the cash pressures. That is why.

I think the 13:45 post by RNSTranslator is a valid point (I remember the previous issues and wasn't happy either). However, it would be a more balanced (and realistic) post if it were to mention why the company is now in a very different place and why, therefore, the risk of nut kicking has been significantly reduced.

I know, I was watching it today with growing excitement but the downward movement didn't gather much momentum. And look at the spread (not that the LSE spread is ever accurate but there'll still be a wide spread even if not quite 15%).

If it gets to 1.55 then I'm in for another ~322k shares which would be a very decent chunk on top of my current holding. I think we need some bad market affecting news to get there tomorrow though, or about 2-3 weeks of no ALGW specific news. I should probably buy at 1.6 because there's a high chance I'll miss out otherwise but a price in the 1.5s is where I think the bottom could be.

It seems plain that the front is not collapsing and you have been misled. So, only talks can get us anywhere in the near future.

As someone who isn't a regular poster, and isn't an expert on WSBN by any means, I found QEDs questions, and the responses very interesting. It's good to know which posters focus on the financials, and which posters simply resort to personal attacks. A good board has a broad spectrum of views - which is more useful than a board solely comprised of optimistic posters, rampers or gatekeepers.

chriszzr, please calm down a bit and read properly before getting on the Daily Mail outrage bus. I'm not advocating for death to improve our share price. I'm simply talking about the reality of our situation IMHO. IMO the only way peace is coming is via military action (note my use of 'via'- I am not suggesting it will be exclusively military action that achieves peace, 2) our BoD are awaiting some sort of peace before the next big move (sale!).

I sincerely hope I am wrong on point 2 because I want my money sooner than the one-two years I expect it will take for the Orcs to be beaten into some sort of submission.

According to the Finnish formula for peace*, we are roughly 50% of the way there towards peace. Of course, when the Finn's talk about achieving peace with Russia they aren't talking about negotiations, but about killing Russian soldiers.

* Finnish formula for peace: 10,000 is good; 50,000 is better; 100,000 dead Russian soldiers will bring peace.

Personally, I think we're looking at 120,000 Russian dead for our share price to rocket.
