RE: lowest price since Sep 2010 Jun 2021 22:16
My honest take is that IAR still has his shares. I'd expect one-liner grenades thrown in, more periodically, from historic holders who can't move on. I also think he and I would agree in that the SP is going to go up - possibly substantially - at some stage, and I'll wager - in the not too distant future. And that's why he, and I suspect Valtree, are still holding.
Where I would differ is with patience. I've given feedback in the past when I thought improvements were needed, and I'd do it again. But when you call out the same repetitive diatribe, day after day, it loses all impact. I actually sat up when I read cobalts post earlier, and noted the number of "likes". Took that much more seriously, because cobalt isn't "at it" at it all the time.
I have two holdings in VAL. The first is old, the second, newer. On paper, the newer one is down, probably by about 60 grand. But I don't blame the board for that, because it's not down to mismanagement. Yes, it would be nice to hear more, but you do get fed up with "Kevin just went to the toilet and used Andrex" type of RNS feeds. I have a feeling we will all sit up at the next RNS. In fact, if I can get my act together, I think I'm going to buy a few more at this level.
I'm still incredibly relaxed about the board and the company. Two years to turn a biotech beast around, and I'd stick with that view.
I'm hoping off for a bit now, until we get a decent RNS to discuss, but what I would say is that we definitely don't have false prophets here, and many of the peers really do. Yes; Suzy is "nice", but, as I've said before, I don't think she suffers fools, and in pharma, these types are the ones that get on; some grit, but also someone who, if they say they'll deliver, does. I myself am still 100% still behind them, and I'm not the type to offer unconditional support easily.
