If it got all the way through in 10 indications, it would be 420M dollars and then (about) 7% in royalties.

If it manages one, it is set at the baseline.

Realistically, it would likely aim to be somewhere between.

My point was, many deals are for every indication, irrespective of what a compound may subsequently be used for.

If VAL had stated a maximum amount (as with PYC), it would allow those who can't comprehend that it is potentially many indications, and many payments, to understand that it wasn't limited to just one or two amounts.

One more word from me.

15 years ago, when big Pharma had become an investment bank, and in house activities were about career development, rather than developing drugs, the pipelines became empty as patent cliffs kicked in.

Along came small biotech to fill the void through acquisition and merger.

That oil well is now beginning to dry, so where are the new drugs coming from?

Academia.

There is a historic communication void between academia and big Pharna. Two ends of the personality spectrum.

For what I believe to be heavily influenced by personality, Suzy and Mark et al are able to get in there and talk shop.

The grand masters of science are literally begging VAL to help develop their IP, with a majority shareholding transferable VAL.

Circa 60 offers.

It's like picking apples in Autumn.

Suzy is 10 years ahead of a curve that will be insurmountable to Big Willy in the FTSE.

I'm going to give you two examples.

Look at RedX and Jazz, and the enormous time to complete the preclinical package for Pan-RAF. Snooze.

Look at Sareum and Sierra, and SRA737. Ran out of cash, relegated it for other priorities, and then left shareholders and even the CEO, for goodness sake, scrabbling for clues in Sierra presentations, of what exactly is going to happen to it.

Every road has its merits. The above really boosted the respective SPs, but material milestones may then take much longer, leading to investor apathy and drift.

One huge bonus, as Suzy alluded to yesterday, is that we are now set for regular updates and milestones.

Believe me, Jenny. 4 agile people in a small team, acquiring the funds, and running a complete Phase 2 study, to a timeline that really is business critical make-or-break, is going to be far more deliverable than AZ undertaking it.

That's no disrespect to AZ, and I worked there for 10 years, but we are talking hungry and lean, versus comfortable big machine.
