It was a proper reversal day. The Parabolic SAR hit the candlesticks, and reversed. Technical types do set algos to ping for this, so now is pretty much the best time to drop it, if you want to "work" the market.

Looks like VAL have spun a mini-deal with CRUK, in that they can now spin the peptide any which way, swiftly and without referral to them, probably for pre-defined milestone royalties. They'll have realised that Suzy is probably the only one capable of maximising it, so it suits everyone.

Risk was buying VAL shares last Spring/Summer, but as I love risk, and VAL is now a fairly safe and assured "bet", plus I'm now minded to leave my keys with Suzy when I go to Torremolinos, it's probably now time to sell up and move on.

Only joking of course, because I want the 10 bagger over 2-3 years.

But any IIs do need to grow a set and dive in now, and Cenkos do need to bring material impact to the SP in the next six months. There's a defined judgement there for me, and, to an extent, I agree with Nick on that. But perhaps we diverge where I actually think they will deliver. They have some form in cross-fertilising biotech outfits.

All-in-all, you have to watch the latest interview to realise that, as decent and honest a person the CEO is, there's a real hunger there, and it's striking to me that she's a very, very, shrewd business person.

Could be. I have some American colleagues though who are scheduling in zooms for the 23-24th. And they'll be there 3-4 days between Xmas and New Year. The market is open that week too, so hopefully VAL will become revenue-generating this week, or next.

I'd be amazed if anyone with the software would sell at this juncture, even if we weren't expecting anything.

I'm no chartist fanboy, but the longer it stretches into next week, the more likely the Parabolic SAR (which is swinging down rapidly from that 60p peak; now at 37p) will crash into our upper candlesticks, and firmly into the Bollinger squeeze that we are currently trading in (which itself is well within the Keltner channel).

Plus, the short simple moving average has now dipped slightly below the medium term MA, so if you squint a bit, you could almost potentially see a golden cross when, not if, we upturn.

Of course, the above is probably worth sheeite on an AIM stock like VAL, but folk do set algorithms, to set alarms off, when this happens.

Essentially, it is going to be a plum time to drop news for the Norman Eggheads to join the pile-in.

ST traders don't want strategy and jam tomorrow; they want deals, but they'll be paying much more to get into them, when the follow-ons start coming in.

Reason being is that I'll tell you who friggin loves proven strategy, and building potential, in the interim:

Institutional Investors.

They'll be here shortly; I can almost smell them.

And they'll finally start giving the SP some backbone.

I'm genuinely surprised by the cost angle/concern.

You can't develop drugs for free, whilst holding onto the last few hundred thousand in the bank account.

You'll spend a few hundred thousand on it, ultimately, when it passes into an SPV, as it progresses to Phase 1 over a couple of years, but if it's then worth 3-400M in milestones, with a 7% royalty, it's hardly a bad investment is it?

And there will be 2-3 more to come next year; I'm fairly confident of that.

We could have 5 preclinical assets coming in by 2022, and maybe 3 potentially going into an SPV on the back of it.

That would be 3 candidates immediately up for sale, as they transition to Phase 1.

If just one of those 5 (I'll wager there could be 2, given the extensive due dil they are doing and the 1 year "trial" phase) gets to IND submission for Phase 1, the SP will be laughing at OB's £2.36.

If you want to invest for 2 years, with a low risk, incredibly high reward investment potential, then the VAL strategy, and I'll say it again, is an absolute no brainer to buy into.

Looks like VAL now have something resembling a preclinical pipeline.

And are rapidly becoming a global pharmaceutical development company.

With a deal, we'll have both ends ticked; proven the strategy, and can finally relax.

With the addition of some contract research capability (don't laugh at that; one CR lab I work for is worth 29 Billion USD), I think we should all do very well indeed. :-)

Great news.

If Mark Eccleston (excellent patent writer) can find out why VAL201 seems to inhibit some of the key mediators in infection and sepsis (which to me look like they might go beyond the more well-characterised mode-of-action for it), and repeat those patent graphs in wider experiments, I would expect VAL201 (which is clinic-ready btw) to transition to infection, with a fresh 19 year patent.

The graphs are real. They're probably repeating them now for publication.

I'm not a cell man, but I reckon that if that VAL201 inhibition of extracellular trap work is repeatable (sepsis >thrombosis>multi-organ failure pathway), then it has some real potential in infection - and beyond.

Very exciting for me.

It's a fantastically written patent.

If some of the "examples" were real, now wouldn't that be nice.

Am hoping that some of that cell work has been done since - now that would be worth an RNS or two.

The patent goes way, way, beyond COVID.

It's precisely because of swing traders, with no interest in what the company actually does, that VAL is still floundering at the low 30s. This hinders momentum, and potentially abrogates LT investor interest, which would add value to the Company, helping them to attract IIs, and ultimately helping them to progress medicines.

VAL chose to be AIM listed, with the benefits and the pitfalls, so it is part and parcel, but your pantomime high horse carries little weight fella.

It's a Catch-22.

Either he sold his shares, but, given the lack of job opportunities, has time to come here and **** off the SH's and BOD. Dignity ship-wrecked. Fairly sad.

Or he's not, because he know's the current management are doing a steadier job than the last lot, and the shares are worth having. Self-worth sunk. Fairly embarrassing.

So it's fairly sad, or fairly embarrassing. I wonder which.
