Has really set this share alight. The IC Headline is a bit misleading....... room for "extremely" or "very" or both within the headline I reckon. I will but you 3 pints of ale bewise if a Major even takes any interest in us to the point of a takeover or 50/50 or more partnership as they have not been interested in us for the last seven years and no company has even offered a figure close to what the BOD feel is appropriate.(stated at last AGM) No I am on a winner if you wish to take the bet?. It is quite obvious why no major is interested.....firstly due to results have proven it really is not a stand alone drug, secondly nothing will happen till 2020 and then VRP will have spent too much for anyone to afford us and they will have to go alone or go bust as even the ii's will have had enough by then and lastly the CEO and BOD will not want to give up the cushy number to be under or in any way answerable to a major. You see a lot of negative understandably but it is what it is and that is how the state of play currently stands in my opinion. If what you suggest even had a sniff of a chance the sp would be double or treble this price . But my reasons are why this share price will stay at this level till 2020. Believe that we are probably looking for some new personnel to add to the team, maybe a rocket scientist or a politician or a neurologist. All three IMHO would be a help to the current team and at least help increase the cash burn,Bewise before you say negative, just you wait new addition/s to the Verona Pharma Team in the next 6 months. A sure fire certainty as that is all this company is capable of at this moment in time and for the two year foreseeable future. Maybe even a plumber that could stop the flow of money leaking out with no return for the shareholders of any miniscule benefit. Maybe they should even employ you as their PR consultant as you are an improvement on anything I have seen them yet release of any value IMHO.

Also in the interim results for this financial half year sent to me via e-mail by Verona Pharma. So if you do not get the e-mails ring up or you may be able to do via the website which I am sure has their results.

The half year results this far show that the losses for 6 months are £10.9 million compared to last years same period of £1.9 million, increase of 6 fold is due to " reflecting the preparation and initiation of clinical trials and expansion of the team".Lets hope we have paid for all trial patients up front or how costly is this at this rate they will burn through the £44 million last global offering at no rate at all. Would love to know how much has been spent on the expansion of the team. Does that mean expansion in terms of the two more employees. If so WTF are they being paid or are we know just seeing the effects of their lovely pay rises. Think the burn rate is alarming to say the least bearing in mind that it is merely for the preparation and initiation. I would say it is a sell today. I have known before for this share to have large sells and rise. May see a threshold rns.These guys are going to milk this all the way to 2020 IMHO. I will humour myself by listening to the webcast for the "significant share holder value, doubt that will ever be mentioned again as that was only said to hook us gullible investors to part with our hard earned IMHO. The only source of comfort that holds me here apart from the big paper loss is that the main patent ends in 2020 and the phase2b trials end in 2020. It is a long wait but it is a coin toss as to whether it will be worth it. I need about £10 per share to have made it worth while. Bearing in mind if the initial patent expires we will save 25% of any milestone or sub licence fees. £5 million on first approval and the 6 % of net end user sales all of which would otherwise have been paid to vernalis. As I feel thisshare is going to take a while I am going to post on rns releases only, to save my sanity and to avoid trying to turn into victor meldrew. It won't be a quick resolution, after 7 years and longer for other holders it certainly will not be quick that is for certain and whilst they are claiming huge salaries and bonuses for doing nothing that shows any beneficial worth to the company they are hardly likely to be in a hurry. Forward looking statements have been added prior to Nasdaq but this is certainly the most comprehensive for stating why RPL%%$ will most likely fail. Certainly covering all eventualities, suspect one or more will come into play when they run out of money for their salaries and the ii,s wise up and do not contribute to the next fundraising which at this rate will be 2p 0r less old money. or less than £1 as currently stands.If we are two thirds of the way through then we still have 3 years to go that takes us to 2020. It was a worry that one of the forward looking statements even seemed to cast doubts as to the effectiveness of our patents for the product. Now that is a worry with KAB now working for GSK. That is with all the knowledge we supposedly have on the board OMG what a firkin disaster this share is turning into. Rinse repeat rinse repeat. Obviously US securities not overly strict as VRP had an injunction over some info being released until 2019 or 2020 yet no one seems in the slightest bothered about it??????????? Shareholder apathy at it's best. Verona Pharma reminds me of a house of cards and only a matter of time all IMHO. HAs our IP gone up in value in the yearly accounts........and by how much???????? mmmmmmmmmmm. I hope anyone else that shares any concerns actually attends the AGM and I hope that a vote is made against any resolutions that propose bonuses for failing to deliver.GLA.

I will still be posting posts like this and you will still be posting posts like yours. There lies the irony. Almost comical except that some of us thought they were actually being serious when they spoke.... IMHO.The share price speaks volumes in evidence of the above statement 7 years on after numerous Successful ;-))) trials and this share is worth approx ONE EIGHTH of it's peak and JAK has had more than enough time to make his mark. Not a hard one to figure. We either have a first in class drug and totally incapable people running the show or we have a very poor drug and exceptionally capable people. Sorry but it is as simple as that in my opinion. GOOD LUCK ALL as we need it by the bucket currently.

thanks for link suggest everyone reads the 2nd paragraph in the section "forward looking statements" . That has to be the most comprehensive list of reasons for why RPL554 will not get to market. Far more than any I have ever seen previously published, wow they are really covering their backsides Only wish their was a list a fraction of that which might state why it might be successful. IMHO if they spent more time trying to find trials that would prove it's worth than all the reasons why this will potentially fail to succeed in being commercialised then I would be much happier. One thing for sure I bet at least two more reasons for it's potential failure will come to light as the appendix to the next news item released. At least they are preparing us for the eventual failure to commercialise RPL554 that First in class drug that "will create significant shareholder value". When I hear and read that statement I know that it actually means significant bank balance improvements for members of the BOD and CEO and significant shareholder stupidity over several years. I always remember when CP and MW said that the employees would reap the rewards, I took it completely the wrong way but month by month it is becoming clearer what they meant. All the above IMHO sadly. I hope this gets to £4 so I can ditch this pathetic share at break even.

Share same sentiments as izstar. Well done on purple bricks I have bought some back in VOG at 40p so not to bad at moment either but does not make up for this. A little like izstar on this lovely share. Yes but it is a toss of the coin I feel now if this will be fortunate or otherwise.

Of contracts if I remember correctly that they have to invest a percentage of their annual salaries into purchasing shares within the company think it applies to the chairman and ceo if I recollect correctly from Annual accounts from two years ago. Presume it still stands but happy to be corrected. Blade boy how long does it take to buy shares and the last time you thought this it never materialised, more just wishful thinking, but cannot blame you. Waiting for the tumbleweed. On average the last 50 days trading on Nasdaq 6102 so just over 300 000 in total in which one of our non executive directors bought approx a third of those if I recall correctly. It has really caused an impression in the United states and another laurel and Hardy analogy springs to mind IMHO..................most will remember the phrase I am sure.

I had a three drawer filing cabinet. I now have a ten drawer filing cabinet and will need to purchase again if this charade continues as currently. I have not even got any kids to leave this too. Mind you they would probably have to will it to their grand childrens grandchildren. Bearing in mind how the sp has moved on all good news which is a smooth trajec tory downwards. Do you think some bad news may benefit this share. We said it when CL and MW were in charge and may as well say it again in my opinion and that is could the last well heeled employee please turn off the light. I agree with Thelix and I doubt that this is being shorted whatsoever it is a response to Everything that I have stated in my previous posts, nothing more nor less and just mirrors the current shambles IMHO. As we all say only a deal will ever rescue this and I cannot see this nor can others and the global offering just highlighted the matter further as half the company could have been picked up for peanuts and even you cannot argue that.

Sorry. I also fail to see how I can play the LTH to my advantage. Trust me I take no pleasure in being a long term holder in any Share but especially shares that are showing no northwards momentum in sp and in fact have drifted only southwards since JAKS arrival in my honest opinion.

I call it as I see it at the time and have this year had the benefit of going to the AGM, listened and spoken to them and then seen a dismal response to the Nasdaq listing ( I am certain the BOD feel the same on what they said re Nasdaq launch) Then through research found a pharma with same seaweed application but they are based in Norway and received a $4 million grant from the CF fund. So if your research and recent events seemed to be falling against the company then you have to make a call and if I seem a bit more negative then that is because the current state of play dictates that, just as does the large bonuses for taking the sp backwards. Really spot have you ever received a bonus for poor performance, no I doubt it so not a difficult concept to understand why my stance has changed. Like I have said previously only one thing that they said has kept me in this and one or two other investors that I am in contact with. So no I will call it as I see it or as research unfolds.It is not just the rate that we advance but that of our competitors also in the respiratory field. The same re hashed rns and sound bytes do not really advance the sp and with the very many new positions without mentioning non executives etc I would have expected a little more progress as would most on the board here and I think the company would as well. The worry is that they stated at the AGM that they were even disappointed with the sp and that was a genuine reply and you could tell from the expression s on their faces. Now they did not join Nasdaq for the hell of it or on a whim it was to serve a purpose which was for greater exposure etc etc. This has currently failed and when I say the BOD will be scratching their heads I am not joking. I posibbly should have gone to an AGM earlier and I doubt that I would be invested to the sum that I am but lesson learned and any future large investment will see me attend an AGM.

So with such apathy and lack of any meaningful news then you can understand why the share price is drifting. They will be in the same position as other aim companies that will never rise in price because they never stick to the timetable that they tell shareholders, then they overrun on cost or timetable of delivery, then they wish to line their own pockets with absurd bonuses. Then they do fundraising after fundraising. And then they make statements that they fail to deliver on. Thank god for great nights out so all enjoy the weekend and lets see how many more sell next week so that bewise can purchase as this runs along the bottom.

I hope this does not go as low as £1.That would be 2p old money. Unthinkable but they can have all my shares at £4 You need to get some return or interest on the trials that are being carried out if that is how you spend the money from the global funding. But then nothing surprises me with this company currently. Definitely a talking the talk and not walking the walk company at present. Sad to see as I obviously rated JAK higher than I should have on reading his CV and having spoken to him on the phone and at the last AGM. It would appear with many companies on AIM that it is not the aim listing that is the problem as many often think but more that a few aim listed companies seem more interested in the CEO and members on the BOD lining their own pockets than actually creating a valuable business that is built for longevity and to actually grow the market value of the company and then actually reward the loyal shareholders. All my opinion based on current performance. VRP sp has never turned round very quickly and sentiment has been all downhill if you look at the sp.

To keep with your lifeboat theme it would indeed appear that the trades today are so far a sea of red. But not big enough to be of any concern.
