Oil/gas shares get a surge before results whatever happens, it seems. Remember DPL went from 5 to 6 before the duster took it to 3. The RNS' here have been positive and suggested gas finds, so I've held as, having bought at 3.3, I can afford to, but I'm aware results will see this surge or get slammed.

I decided to take profit here for now. I think this could very well go higher but it's not one of my main holdings and I like to cash in from time to time. A short term drag may be that a new placing is needed before the TSX listing and I'd expect that to be around 35p, based purely on the fact that's the price of the TSX warrants.

TPJ rise on the back of further Newmont interest - I think that element of last week's RNS (http://www.investegate.co.uk/Article.aspx?id=201102070700077445A) is what caused the movement here.

Yeah OEX would've been a great buy. I only really get time if any to research one sector properly tho right now so my oily plays have to be safe rock bottom entries (DPL 3.5, SQZ 41, NGP 3.3). Are you still active in the oil industry now then, if you don't mind me asking? GDP excites me greatly - especially the Ashanti license deal. It's hard to pick the bottom on THR but I think that also has a suite of assets that can get it to 3.5-4p once the next placing is done. Funny thing is this has had an amazing rise but still seems v under the radar, bb wise. I still hold all my shares (56022) btw. I think it can support a similar valuation to GRL, ie £20m, before drilling. Tips...hmm...my recent decisions have been a bit dodg (been v busy at work so not able to research properly) but in terms of seeming to be at lows and having potential, I'd say GDP, CGNR (still!), NGP, SQZ. NGP has news end of Feb so will rise or fall pretty soon...!

Could you detail to me how a PI can participate direct in placings? It's something I'd love to do. In here since 10.5p.

Not certain I've caught the bottom, but long term think 5.96 should be ok. Assets valued at £4.5m excluding cash. Director valuation is 7p, per RNS. Sampling to begin March.

It's below the 60p and 50p placings so yes. It's an unhedged gold producer tho so we need the price of gold to stay high.

Sure, theres lots of risk in the project so a big discount to potential net asset value is sensible. In the short-mid term there should be more Clay Lake results and the Scoping, but the price will only surge when those are near. But look at what this has vs higher capp'ed shares like OTC, CNR and you have to reach the conclusion it's undervalued by a long way.
