I don't understand why we are being told by the Muslim community what we can watch in the cinema, we don't tell them they can't watch, seems as though freedom of speech goes in one direction. The actions of these protesters have given this film more publicly than anything else.

Have to disagree not sure I would feel confident booking anything with BA at the moment, possibly in a few months once these over capacity problems are over, its good news that the demand is there but cancellations and compensation going to cost all carriers a huge amount of money, Ryan and Jet 2 seem to be handling the crisis much better than IAG/Easyjet .

Unbelievable that the Muslim community are now dictating what the Non Muslim population of this Country can watch in the Cinema.

Fantastic news that Top Gun is getting rave reviews and huge amounts of revenue coming in but still the SP languishes at 25p/29p have we got to win the appeal before any upward movement and if we lose what then?

Jtan the cancellations are real not false media reporting, plus the damage in reputation for the likes of IAG, Easyjet and Tui will only benefit the competition, as posted a few weeks ago some friends of mine are taking a trip to New York later in the year have chosen to fly Virgin over BA as less chance of getting cancelled, imagine over the next few months how many travellers will be making a similar choice.

Good to have passengers but if they can't fly them to their destination its going to cost BA a fortune in compensation which presumably will reduce profit so its not really good news.

Positive news today about dividend, but why the drop towards the end of the day ?

Apparently the 10% pay reduction was about £3,350 pa, I'm sure that figure will be confirmed or denied by any LHR check in staff on here.

Personally I think the check in staff at Heathrow are perfectly justified in threatening strike action, a 10% pay reduction is a considerable sum and with the cost of living increases the staff deserve to have this temporary pay reduction reversed particularly when it has been reported that executives are receiving pay increases, check.in staff are working extremely hard at the moment and are no doubt taking a lot of abuse from passengers over flight cancellations etc, we expect BA/IAG to be in profit very soon but unless the management sort out the problems that the airline are having profit could be delayed, the management will have no option but to agree with the unions demands or else they risk even more compensation claims which I bet will be significantly more than the 10% .

So do we expect an uplifting of the SP over the next few days?

@deltalo if the SP goes to a £1 my purchase is Ducati Panigale V2/V4 almost got it last year when SP was £1+ but being greedy, stupid and inexperienced I held as it dropped, perhaps next year.

@77blackbridge what you posted yesterday was probably the most sensible comment of the day in relation to the action taken by the Government. Top Gun is going to be very good for Cine and they have a strong line up for the next few months, but later in the year no blockbuster releases, October/November once the heating goes on, higher fuel and food prices I am sure a lot of people with be using the 'hand out' to put towards their energy bills.

Be interesting to see if they do now respond, the communication from Mooky and Co has been atrocious, I appreciate that the appeal process is going through so they may not be able to be specific on certain aspects.

As deltalo has stated it will be a great weekend for income this weekend and hopefully the next few months, but is it going to make the SP go up ?

Am I the only person that thinks £50 for 2 tickets to see a film is a lot of money given the circumstances that a lot of people are now in ?

And in layman's terms what does this mean, is this good or bad for the SP?
