@Crumpets If that was the case and it was an old document that was seen don't you think Cine would of responded immediately, I appreciate Investor Relations may operate from Mookys kitchen but I'm sure someone would of seen the report and thought mmmmm that's not true ?

IF Cine stay in business there needs to be a change in the BOD Mooky just isn't capable of running this business its just got too big, a new PR relations dept needs to keep share holders up to date with major events and most importantly ticket prices need to be reduced to compete with VUE. With the cost of living increases families will be looking at expenditure at will be shopping around to save money.
I hope by this time tomorrow things will be clearer as to what is happening.

Surely all cinemas show the same new releases? did Cine reduce admission fees for 'older ' films to keep the screens full?

I think Mooky and Co have missed any opportunity of rectifying the problems Cineworld have, certainly admission charges are way higher than VUE, look at the success Cine had when they reduced ticket prices over a weekend, you would of thought someone from head office thinking mmmmm that went well, let's make it a regular feature.
I wonder how the Cine (US) admission charges in the US compare to other theatres?

Any reason why the company couldn't of made some type of announcement today denying or worse still confirming rumours are correct?
Lots of American airlines have gone into Chapter 11 and they still survive to this day.
With a majority of screens in the US could the go into Chapter 11 while the rest are sold off?
I was discussing the Cineworld situation today with a mate who is a regular cinema attende he only goes to VUE as tickets are a lot cheaper than Cine his opinion of Cine is that they are robbing bas***** could the price difference be the reason Cine hasn't done so well with the major releases since The Batman ?

Not sure I would put Mooky and responsible in the same sentence.
Shareholders shafted on false hopes, thousands of staff potentially out of a job very soon.
As soon as the reports were announced yesterday the company should of made some type of response announcement immediately.
But when you are earning £1.4 million pounds you treat life differently.

I've been saying this since the court case verdict, so little news from the company.

Have just been reading comments posted on the Daily Mail article 're Cineworld, some comments may be from shareholders but a majority of the posts are mentioning the price of tickets in comparison to VUE and Odeon, obviously the high price of food is also mentioned. I have posted this only so that Shareholders can see what the paying or non paying public view of Cineworld is .

Spare a thought for the thousands of Cine staff most of whom are young and on minimum wage some will probably of been in a company share save scheme that they hoped would reward them well in a number of years, if Cine does go into administration Mooky and Co will no doubt have sufficient funds to live on, the loyal employee's probably not.

Can it go to 1p before 4.30pm today?
What a total disaster and nothing from Mooky or IR to calm nerves.

What I can't understand is that poor film slate and lack of audiences is causing financial issues, wasn't Too Gun, The Batman, Spiderman and Mission Impossible extremely successful particularly Top Gun, how come they were successful for other cinema chains and not f for Cineworld. What film/films are due in November that are going to save the day for Cine ?

I honestly believe that Mooky and Co have been totally ineffective in running this company over the last 3 years.
The Cineplex fiasco, court case and now the appeal have totally ruined the reputation of the company, how did we fare so badly in revenues et c when we were showing the same films as Cineplex and AMC we are supposed to be the 2nd biggest cinema chain in the world.
I was up until yesterday a small share holder that had hoped for better things to come, I feel so sorry for LTH who have lost thousands of £s today who like me had confidence in this company.
I have always been agitated by the lack of news from Mooky and Co since the initial court case verdict.
One question I have is why was a RNS issued today ? when figures are expected to be released in September.

Jet 2 in my experience have shown what customer service is all about, I've flown with them a couple of times and cabin crew are friendly and enthusiastic.
Jet2 had no cancellations in July and their customer service team and very good, only issue has been being on hold for a long time.
With the arrival on new Airbus air to replace some of their ancient 737s I'm sure they will do very well over the next few years.

Surely the film slate has been pretty good since The Batman, Top Gun was a massive success

Well we have all been waiting for a RNS from Cine and what a disaster, can't understand the 'weak film slate ' how much bigger have films got to be before Cine starts to make some money and reduce debt, wasn't Top Gun and The Batman successful enough?

I wonder if the remaining 380s will be brought out of storage for these routes into China?
Would be a testament to the increase of passenger traffic if all 12 were back in service and BAs confidence in the type.
