Veritas reduced their holding in Capita by 1% similar happed last week. I wonder whos picked up that 1%? Scchroders?

Hi Dream, there are a number of possible scenarios here. Defence against dawn raid, low ball takeover offer @.60-70p. Schroeders could be acting as kingmaker in any takeover, or a proxy for Bain or CVC. Could also be to benefit from sp rise on ESS sale.

Hi everyone, Im a new Capita investor, bought in at .30p yesturday. News ;largest Capita investor Schroeders have upped their holding from 5 to 11% from .27p over last four weeks. Management are talking to a number of second round private equity groups about the sale of its Education unit ESS for an estimated £500 million 10 times to £700 million 14 times earnings. A deal of that size will send shares North. IMHO .60-90p sp is not unreasonable.

I feel Schroeders prompt stake building suggests deal is imminent. Either as a buying stake building proxy for CVC or Bain T/O or straight EES sale. There has not been any announcement on sale talks stalling/ending, so one must conclude management are happy with offers for the EES business.
