......Canadians require fighter jets.....BAe need a world class civil aerospace unit....EADS will let BAe wither on the vine and then pounce screwing BAe shareholders....Bombardier lost a major airline order yesterday to Brazilian rival.....BAe Bombardier must now open talks about a combination....After merger.....the new Bombardier C series 130 seat jet airliner....could be rebranded the De Haviland Comet....named after the first and most famous civil jet airliner ever made....A fantastic way to market and demonstrate the heritage of the both firms worldwide...BAe must stop being inward facing and market themselves much better around the world.....A BAe/Bombardier aerospace combination would 1/open new markets for each others strengths/products 2/R&D and manufacturing could be leveraged 3/Give each company the critical mass to challenge....American, European and Brazilian competitors....Reg

.....lecturing David Cameron at the CBI today....about PM moralising on tax avoidance of big corporations....telling the PM to stop moaning and create new laws to stop all this....Its like the pint calling the kettle....Hes responsible for the British Exchequer losing almost £400m in corporation tax since Cadbury was sold to Kraft with its tax avoiding Swiss HQ....What a hypocrite....Of course he and the then Cadbury Ceo did not care.....both getting nice severance packages.....while 2000 Cadbury UK employees lost their jobs.....Reg

......paid the UK exchequer over £200m corporation tax in last year of trading.....enough money to build 10 hospitals or 20 schools....what do Kraft/Mondelez/Suchard pay.....Starbucks!.....BAe have issues presently....which a well managed market leader like Cadbury never had....Indeed Cadbury was a 200 year old money making machine....I say what BAe really need right now..... is a management team of GKN or IMI calibar....who know how to pick winners.....Reg

.....a dual listed Anglo/Canadian company....renamed .De Haviland Corporation....has a certain historical ring to it....The Canadian Government need new Fighter jets....who else but the newly merged Bombardier/BAe (De Haviland) to supply these aircraft....BAe/Bombardier are such a good fit strategically.....Reg

.....BAe strategically need to find a deal....which moves them decisivefully back into the civil aerospace arena....1/ would be with EADs....2/ Bombardier.....3/ Rolls Royce....Naval and Hybid systems would be a good fit with Rolls.....other divisions less so.....My favoured BAe partner would be Bombardier.....with BAe selling Naval to Rolls to strengthen their pension deficit/balance sheet before merger.....Reg

......a merger with Bombardier the worlds number three civil aircraft producer .....would at a stoke give BAe aerospace engineers/technology/facilities access to key civil platforms and markets.....ie Learjet business jets....all new composite 130 seat C series narrow bodied jet airliner....possibility of future wide body airliner co development with Brazil....Airbus is a great success....but BAe would be relegated to junior patner in any merger....I say lets unite British De Haviland with Canadian De Haviland.....and build H2 trains in Derby....Reg

..... for Britains sake... invest in areospace.....Rolls/Vickers should build the Navys ships....JCB the Land Systems....It has become an industry facing British Leyland....too many very good product lines....which unfortunately for Britain...BAe are not throwing enough capital at.....I would like to see Vince Cable insist BAe is split up....with Rolls or Bacock taking on Naval Systems....possibly JCB the Land System side....and BAe investing the proceeds into aerospace and cyber...Reg
