Although the masks have passed the EN14683 standard they are not yet UKCA/CE marked. The NHS will not/cannot purchase without that occurring.

I don't think you understand how this sorts of commissioning projects work. Time is tightly controlled.

They're not going to finish commissioning the machine and then wait three days for a flight home. They'll plan their time to fly home the same day/day following completion of the work.

They had to take the tests for their planned flights *before* the commissioning work was complete.

The key issue for SBI is that the Framework tender exercise didn't proceed with Lot 2, which is where much to the work that SBO could pick up was contained. There will be limited scope for SBI in the Lot 1 activity, which is primarily aimed at provision of treatment services, but I'm sure the board will find something they can get their teeth into. And they're effectively ready to rock if/when Lot 2 comes to the market.

That is *not* a Contract Award Notice. It's a retrospective Framework notification.

The Increasing Capacity Framework (which I've been working on for months and which closed in ) is a Framework agreement. There is no actual contract value attached to it. It's 'pre-approval' for future contracts - which will come as the result of further tenders or, in some cases, direct awards. However, direct awards can only be for a maximum of six months.

Yes, it's antibody. I think there will be a demand for lab-based antibody testing, particularly from high throughput/contact areas (such as airports) and manufacturers such food processing (again lots of them in this area). It'll be aimed at staff rather than travellers and will be part of a wider occupational health-based testing scheme.

Who? Fake Tan? Surely not?!?!

I'm devastated, I tell you... however will I cope?

The simple point is demand for the products being produced by ODX, these being:

- the AbC19 test on behalf of the UK-RTC;
- the Vistect Triple Antibody test; and
- the Antigen test (when the TT concludes and the test is UKCA marked)

won't be going away any time soon and ODX (and the UK-RTC is relation to the AbC19 tests) will have demand for what they're producing - both domestically and internationally.

There's no need to worry about the current short-term tenders. These are interim provisions and will be/are being replaced by longer term frameworks.

There's also the lab-based testing (for which there will be significant demand I think, particularly as the lab isn't that far from Stansted and Norwich airports) and the other products in the portfolio.

Colin and the board aren't daft. They wouldn't be ramping up staffing and capacity if they were not confident that the the demand was there for a reasonable period of time. They will also flex that capacity to maximise potential returns.

I've always said that ODX's real value is in the medium to long term. The usual suspects will make do with a quick profit but my holding(s) will be transferred into my pension portfolio for the long term in due course.

I find that odd... given that ODX won't be selling the AbC19 test directly and CIGA has been taking pre-orders for the test, on behalf of the UK-RTC since October.

Well... duh! Possibly something to do with DHSC having control over sales to third parties.

And the RTC has been taking professional pre-orders for the AbC19 test for months...

The £912 million tender is a time limited framework tender, which expires at the end of March 2021. As Mologic has a CE marked antigen test, it may get on to the framework for supply.

ODX did not have a UKCA/CE marked antigen test at the relevant time - and is therefore unlikely to be included in the framework. Even if we managed to get the TT finished and a UKCA mark applied, we'd only be talking about supplying for a few weeks.

The likelihood is that there will either be:

- an extension of the current framework provisions, which would be subject to a refresh for new providers; or
- a new framework tender which (should TT be finished and the test UKCA marked) ODX could apply for.

The other possibility is that ODX could, until any Framework is reopened, manufacture for Mologic/GAD under their branding, rather than supplying Visitect LFTs for the Framework.
