What I am saying is, as they have registered with an EU competent authority before the end of the transition period, the CE approval under the old regulations will still apply after 1 January 2021 - despite the devices not having been offered on the EU market.
Had they not done so, they’d have had to apply for a fresh CE mark, via an approved body, under the new EU regulations and for subsequent registration with an EU member state competent authority. That would be a costly and complex process.
