Why would the dividend payment tomorrow cause it to dip? The dip happened on the ex-divi day - and wasn't as bad as many were predicting.

Sorry - probably me causing confusion. There's two types of Innova tests in use in hospitals - one lab based, one LFT. Lab-based requires posting , whereas the LFT is self-administered and reported. Different hospitals are using different versions...

I've asked a friend who's a headteacher what the reporting process will be for school antigen testing. It'll be interesting to see what she comes back with.

If it's the Innova test for NHS staff, you take the sample and post it to the lab - either via an internal mailbox or pop it into any Royal Mail NHS Priority post box.

We have a stack of them at home as my other half is a hospital consultant who has to test.

I've just rung them and asked them. They're using an Abbott test - they couldn't tell me exactly which one, but it's clear it's an LFT.

Interesting that Abbott is not listed on the MHRA EUA list...

Those administering the antigen tests to children in schools will be deemed to be 'professionals' (this might be teachers or other adults who have been trained to administer the test) and the tests being as being used 'professional POC' - not 'home use'.

The key with antigen testing is to ensure that positive tests are reported correctly (Covid19 is a notifiable disease) and schools are actually well placed to do this.

It's not uncommon. You'll often find MMs and brokers making small purchases to cover off their deals.

It's worth noting that the Investigate update was issued before the final Brexit agreement was known and before HMG issued their guidance on CE/UKCA marking: https://www.gov.uk/guidance/using-the-ukca-marking

There is some flexibility about using the CE mark in the UK until 31 December 2021... but, if the item wasn't CE marked *and offered for sale in the EU* before 31 December 2020, then the CE mark is not valid in the EU. Paraytec will have to register it separately with an EU competent authority under the 2017 EU Regulations.

I'm not aware that NHS England or the JCVI has issued any such requirement. What they have said is that there should be a gap of two to three weeks between any 'flu vaccination and any Covid vaccination. They've been encouraging GP surgeries and hospitals to complete the 'flu vaccination programmes as soon as possible - but that's been hampered somewhat by a lack of supply of the 'flu vaccine.

The clinical testing for this type of PPE is limited - it's not the same as other medical devices.

The AZ vaccine roll out to NHS staff started yesterday. At present, due to shortages of stock, it's being prioritised for clinical staff in high risk areas (e.g. Covid wards and ICUs).

The key issue going forward with vaccines won't be mutations of the virus (those, on the whole, are irrelevant or relatively straightforward to deal with) but supply. It is becoming clear that manufacturers can't cope with the demand and are having issues producing to the levels expected/forecast. This means testing, masks, etc. are likely to be with us for the foreseeable future.
