Hey Ponie - hope you are well.

Saw your post to Mapp and felt I had to point out what I know for what it’s worth. Firstly I may not be in my 80’s but I am now in receipt of State Pension so I think that classes me as elderly!! I am also with HL and have been for over a decade. I find them annoying at times in looking after my SIPP but twice they have paid me compensation for slow service, so reasonable in addressing concerns. They are also heavily regulated by the FSA, so despite what Mapp might say they cannot arbitrarily choose to treat pensioners poorly - there’s Ombudsmen to protect investors. Secondly my knowledge of Mapp is that she is an elderly lady prone to ramblings across a number of topics largely to do with conspiracies. I wish her no harm, but I wouldn’t want to see you take her word as gospel. If HL are charlatans then I am as much at risk as you are, but I genuinely don’t believe they are. I met Peter Hargreaves and Stephen Lansdown in my time in Financial Services and they are just genuine guys who made good by spotting a gap in the market and maximising it - something I guess a lot of us would do if we could. Anyway I am not seeking to give you advice, just as much information as I can as I always look out for your posts. Here’s to a successful rest of 2025 Ponie 👍👍

Kent_man - anyone calling Paddy a goon needs to give their head a wobble OR more preferably actually do some research on the poster you are insulting. Paddy is an archetypal Lther and selflessly provided so much valuable, independent information back in the day, it was immense. Sadly he now only posts irregularly exactly because of idiots like you who know nothing of his past. Get in the greenbin and stay there!!

Yeah sad to see you backing away TT but fully respect your decision to do what’s best for you. The only reason I survive on this Board is by being ruthless with the greenbin - I don’t see most of the trolls, fudsters, brainless posts that crop up here and still keep wishing that others would NOT respond to them, as this is what gives them oxygen to exist. I look forward to the days when the SP will have rewarded all Lthers well enough that no post from anyone will count for anything as we will all be revelling in our well earned wealth. That’s the exact point MH and Jet - don’t people remember that it was not so long ago (pre-consolidation) that we were heading towards 5p and under. Since consolidation we have stabilised around 15-17p (equivalent) which is over 3 times the value!! When I see posts like Costaalidabantam and Banksy1 I realise that there is no point trying to hold a sensible conversation with them - I should have greenbinned them ages ago, but definitely have now!! They know not what they are doing here so why should anyone try to educate them? Greenbin is my advice!!

Oh for goodness sake Lyndon, do some research before you make stupid comments about our BoD - do you have any clue about how far we’ve come since Shaun took the helm and created a BoD second to none around him? I think you are absolutely right Speedy that dilution has proved a far better option than debt, particularly in these times of spiralling interest rates/inflation. What I think bears testament to how clever and strategic Shaun and his BoD are, is that they lined up three major Banks for financial support if he needed to execute what he has. As it turns out we may not need it all 🤞🤞 - what a CEO and BoD and Team we have. They are entitled to share options, bonuses based on achievement and wow are they achieving!! 👏👏
