The FCA RNS is different from the previous two Fovio chip RNS. It's a very small amount for at least 2, maybe more, models. There are no guaranteed amounts ie could be zilch other than engineering milestone payments. That leads me to believing the A$6 million relates purely to engineering milestone payments and that FCA is doing a Super Cruise ie optional extra. And as Terry's post yesterday highlighted, GM is looking to gradually introduce across the board, whether optional or not is unsure, probably not the full package at that. If FCA isn't a la Super Cruise, the RNS makes no sense at all being on average 42,600 vehicles a year for five years. 42,600 in multiple models?

If only some Nordic crowd would write our RNS. Imagine the Ford RNS - 'the initial value of the contract is A$50 million. However, as this only covers 3% of all vehicles made, when it is placed in all vehicles, over the five years of the contract, the total contract value is expected to be in the region of A$1.66 billion or to you Brits £925 million '. Or if you want to be conservative and over deliver, use something similar to Veoneer who have some knowledge of the Auto sector, ie x4. 8 times the original contract value.

Baxter There is legislation about to be passed in Europe for 'safety' DMS, SEE has little competition in 'safety' DMS so where and how will we be wrong is probably a better question to ask?

There's one or two things you haven't taken into account - 1. Hopefully, SEE will have announced a number of contract wins and will do so throughout the year. 2. Roughly, SEE will be a year nearer significant (probably understated) Auto revenues. So, once the uncertainty has gone, a stop loss might not come into play.

That should be worthy of an RNS Reach!

European Parliament plenary 11-14/03 is when the full parliament votes on the legislation which if we remind them we may get an RNS. That should boost the SP if worded correctly.

Yes but according to the trading updateup to 6 by end of June and we are now in March and have only had one. So, purely on a probability factor the odds increase!

As regards Cadillac, there were always plans to put Super Cruise in 11 models, there are two RNS detailing the first (CT6) and the following ten (which may have subsequently changed). No contract value is mentioned. Maybe the discussions with an existing customer relates to Buick and the other brands? As for Mazda, it would be good and give a revenue boost but it just seems too early and is probably an in-house solution (which hopefully will be replaced by Seeing in future models).

And if proof were needed that DMS will end up in all motor vehicles, from the horses mouth. A bit faster would be appreciated though!
